We are out here on our Honeymoon and went here, Johnny Luke’s because we were staying at a nearby hotel and they recommended this place. I mentioned that to our waitress, Meg and she got us 10% off our bill (because of staying at the nearby hotel) and also got us a free dessert for us newlyweds!! That is so awesome!! We the two of us got to Johnny Luke’s at 5:38 pm our 1 friend thought we were meeting at another restaurant 2 min down the street. We let her know that we were going to get a table and order drinks! The 2 of us did and our friend joined us about 5 min later. We waited about 30 min for 2 beers and a martini to come to the table! Once the drinks came due to the fact that the manager could not manage the restaurant our waitress’s could not handle what had been given to her in such a short amount of time ! Finally after about a hour in a half into us sitting down she took our order! One of us ordered an appetizer which should have come with our salads considering the appetizer was hot and the salads were cold but nope that didn’t happen! We waited another 20 min for the salads to come out! After about another 30 min our main dinner came out which I might say was like something that I could get from Olive Garden without paying $17.00 a plate! It was not only not impressing at all it tasted like a frozen meal at food lion! The waitress finally came back to ask how the meal was and at this time we asked to speak to the manager! He approached the table with a I don’t care attitude and asked what the problem was! We understood that everywhere is short staffed totally but the manager is there to control the restaurant and if they don’t have the staff don’t fill the restaurant!!! He then told us to wait a minute and came back to the table to say oh you have only been here for a hour in a half!! Don’t call us a liar we are paying good money to eat at a place that friends have come to before !! What did he do take a round of drinks off! Are you kidding me !! You best believe that we are locals and I hope the owner reads this and reevaluate who is running his or hers restaurant!!! We will definitely be spreading the word ! More...

This was our first visit to this iconic restaurant-bar-patio trifecta. We opted for the KitchenBar on the ground floor, but the loft looked promising foe our next visit, or even the outdoor patio. Our server - Maddi - made all the difference. Simply put, she was outstanding!!! We opted for a mix of “small plate” appetizers and something from the “hand Held’s” menu - always available, but not shown on their table menus. The meatball sandwich was huge and absolutely delicious!!! The spinach and artichoke dip was smooth and tasty, and the New Zealand lamp chops (available as an appetizer or main course) were cooked to perfection! The ambiance is a mix of casual dining and pub features, and the open, but covered loft offers a nice view. Again, our server - Maddi - was simply terrific and made this evening a five-star experience!! Thank you!! And kudos to Matt who mixes his own Bloody Mary- they were divine!!! More...

I was by myself, so I sat at the bar for brunch. Bartender was nice and friendly. I ordered eggs benedict, johnnycake, fruit cup, creme brule and coffee. Eggs benedict- hollandaise sauce had nice flavor, though it was luke warm. Eggs where slightly over poached, but it tasted very good. Johnnycake- seemed like left over mashed potatoes that were grilled. Could have used some seasoning. I ate it with sour cream, was delicious that way. Fruit cup- despite melon being out of season it tasted nice and refreshing Creme Brulee- awesome crack, nice and creamy wonderful flavor. Little cool in the center. Coffee was really good as well.
