The whole experience with Team Wu was exceptional. From the emails, phone calls with Johnny himself to the actual performance by Dylan. One would think that magicians are for kids but my event was for my mom's 70th birthday where most of the guests are adults. Everyone was blown away by Dylan. Not only were his tricks very well performed but he was also very engaging with the crowd. It was a mixture of laughter and awe (with oohs and ahhs) the whole time. I met Brad, Dylan, and Johnny one night when they came to dine in at my work! I had the pleasure of being apart of two tricks that they performed for me (one by Brad and the other by Dylan). More than Amazing !!!. We asked for a memorable performance for our daughters' 21st birthday.. We got it !!..He is the newest Southern California "goat. ." in up close Magical illusions..With J.W. unique up close audience participating style (very professional, entertaining, very natural, "cool" & relaxed way), he kept us wondering "what just happened?".. Johnny was the main event for my flower girl's 6th birthday party.  Johnny was funny for both adults and children!  His jokes were great and his magic was greater!  He was really good with the kids, especially ones that tend to yell out or get in the way (I'm a teacher so I know how difficult it is to wrangle in kids sometimes).  He was very patient with them and was able to redirect them (verbally and magically).  I for sure can attest that I enjoyed the show, maybe even more than the children.  I was so impressed by his magic that I showed videos of it to my co-workers! I would hire Johnny for my upcoming wedding, but I've already booked a live band.  I have slight buyer's remorse now haha.  I totally recommend Johnny for all your magic needs! More...

Johnny Wu is an outstanding performing magician and a realistic instructor. He knows that you may not have the time to practice, practice, practice but Johnny has a keen eye on telling you what you need to improve on based upon your skill level. From my experience, I met Johnny at an event where he performed. Having taken magic classes myself, I was thoroughly impressed with his mannerism and technique. I spoke to Johnny in possibly having him teach me a few magical tips thus improving my chances for my audition at the famous Magic Castle. He was happy to do so and in our first class together, he was able to assess my skill level and tutor me accordingly. Johnny charges $150 per session which I felt was a little high at the time but when I realized that once you learn an effect or the skill, it belongs to you....and you keep this skill or effect....forever! Well, as long as you remember it...so practice, practice, practice!!In just one session, I was able to do a number of "card flourishes" and card vanishes. Johnny didn't just leave it at that...he also gave me homework to do so when I met him again for the next time, I would be ready for the next skill set lesson. The thing I like about Johnny's method is that he doesn't try to teach you his personal routine, he has quite an arsenal of skills and effects he can teach you....but he listens to what you want to do with these skills and will teach you accordingly. Safe to say, when my audition at the Magic Castle came, I used the tips, skills and effects Johnny taught me and I passed the audition in my first try! Thank you Johnny Wu! More...

Johnny's a great teacher! Here's my story.I wanted to ask a girl to prom but didn't know how. He taught me an elaborate card trick that would wow her into saying yes. After spending a little bit of time with Johnny and practicing at home, I felt ready.One day while hanging out with the girl, I told her i've been practicing magic and pulled out the deck of cards. I performed the trick for her and at the end, a piece of chocolate appeared and on it, said "Prom?" She was stunned and amazed, and while laughing, she said yes!!!I couldn't have done this without Johnny's help. He has many magic tricks up his sleeve. Johnny completely blew me away with his tricksI could never figure out how he switch the card in my hand with his when he performed it among me and my friends on campusit can be either in the begining, during the trick, or after,i have no idea how, but I was amazed by that trickI wasnt a fan of magic, but thanks to johnny wu,he opend my eyes on the possibilitiesI would recommend him for any big events like birthday party or weddingshe would light up the party for sure...with magic
