First of all, in reference to the prior review with the poor rating when the person did not even book the job with T&Z, it is completely unfair and in this company's case totally unwarranted . From the start it has been a pleasure dealing with Tom. Â Once contacted, he came out the following day and gave us a very competitive quote. We booked T&Z right away, and Tom worked with us to ensure he would have the job completed prior to our carpet install. Â He has always been personable and you can tell he genuinely desires to earn your business. Â One thing we really liked is when he gave us a start time, Â Â he arrived 5 minutes early - that's respect for the customer's time. Â The T&Z team was friendly and completely professional. Â We are delighted with the quality (pristine trimming at ceiling and baseboards) and the speed in which they painted our house. Â Tom even went over and above to ensure we were satisfied by taking down a border at no charge when my wife changed her mind. T & Z first repaired, prepped and painted  all the exterior wood trim in our 118 year old, 3 story, stucco home.  Tomasz and his crew made it look like new!  Excited with the results we decided to tackle the interior first floor.  It involved removing old wallpaper, getting rid of popcorn ceilings and repairing plaster walls!  The result was absolutely amazing. To be clear: I did not hire this service, so this is only for the process of getting quote. I contacted them for an exterior painting quote 9/14, and within two weeks-- 9/22, Tomas gave us a visit and said he'd email me a quote. Then, I contacted him more times, this past week, to get the quote by today 9/27. For 4 front porch pillars, 6 second floor window trim, fascia on front porch, and back sliding doors trim (2 coats, Ben Moore paint) --he quoted the price of $2200. That's more than double my last quote from another highly reputable company! Too bad, because his reviews on here are amazing, but that's a lot of money for some trim work. I've now gotten quotes from $900-2200 for the same job -all from reputable companies--similar paint, same work, same amount of coats. Get your quotes, people, because right now --because of the pandemic? because people have left professions?--ordinary work that may have cost me $500 in the past is double, triple, and quadruple the price. Painters & handymen who work outside, are very busy and are making sure that they get paid top dollar before the winter. Shop prices, because they are all over the map. And, this painting job -- it's not an emergency--it can wait another year or even two. First, Tom was the fastest at being able to provide a quote (I obtained 3 quotes), he was the quickest to be able to schedule the job, and his quote was the best that I received. Tom and his team did a fabulous job repainting pretty much everything in the 1500 sq ft, two bedroom, two bathroom house. We needed all walls, baseboard, window trim, doors, and almost all ceilings in the house painted. Additionally, we needed the wallpaper removed and the kitchen cabinets painted. Due to part of the house being built in the 1950's there was a lot of patch work required on the walls and ceilings. Tom and his guys did an incredible job of patching the walls and ceilings. The walls, ceilings, trim, and kitchen cabinets turned out perfectly--these 1950's plaster walls and ceilings look brand new! Â Oh, and Tom uses top of the line Benjamin Moore paint!Tom was such a good communicator throughout the process. He was so easy to work with. They were able to get the job done in the timeframe promised--even with an extra coat that was needed on the walls and trim in some rooms.
