What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
The elements of a good photograph are always: light, color, composition, and emotion. A GREAT photo will include all of those elements...and will convey a particular story and a strong emotion. That is what separates a "picture" from a great photo...the viewer will immediately see, and feel and understand the story without any description.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What kind of photographic style do you have in mind? Do you have examples of a style or mood that you would like to see in your photos? What are the important elements of a portrait or event that you need to capture and convey?
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy new challenges. I have owned a professional camera since I was a teenager and I have photographed thousands of people, events, places around the world. Yet every time I get behind my camera I see an opportunity to do something new, try a different approach, work with a client to achieve a unique goal.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Simple...I love what I do. And when you love what you do it doesn't feel like work.
