I was visiting my business partners in Lakeway and my rental car started showing low pressure on a tire. I tried filling air but didn't hold. Saw this Texaco on my way to a meeting and figured I'd fill a little more air. Asked one of the guys how to work the air machine and he said he'd help. He checked the tire and found a large nail in it. For $15 he patched it good as new, in 5 minutes. No appointment. I highly recommend Lakeway Texaco. They are HONEST. I dropped my car off and told them I thought I needed new brakes (the brakes were making a lot of noise). They called me back and hour later and said my brakes were fine and didn't need to be replaced. From this day forward - I will buy my gas, have all my oil changes and future repairs done at Lakeway Texaco. I TRUST THEM. And, I really want their TRUSTWORTHINESS to be rewarded. so i called to find out if they did state inspections and they did.  i further enquired if there was a long wait.  i was told that they don't take appts and that its first come first serve.  while that was good to know, it appeared the guy had no idea what i just asked him.  (this is why they only get 4 stars).i arrive and my inspection was initiated right away.  it took a total of 12 mins from the time i arrived til the time i paid for them to work on my car.  regardless that my question had gone unanswered, the service was quick More...

Great service and very honest. We were on vacation and needed to get car check to make sure it was safe to drive home and they quickly checked it out and wrote up a explanation and took pictures so that we could show our mechanic back home. Very reliable and precise.

Lakeway Texaco has excellent customer service and I wouldn't take my car anywhere else! I've brought my car by twice in the past couple weeks the first time due to a nail in my tire and they quickly patched it without charging me anything and today I brought my car in thinking I had an issue with my 02 sensor and they were quick to run the diagnostic and tell me it wasn't an issue anymore and get my inspection done all within a couple of hours.

Great local stop for car repairs, changes, wash and inspections.  Excellent, fast service to swap out my KAPUT car battery, clean erosion and replace the terminal.   Peace of mind here on those inconveniences that having a busy car throws at you.  Thank you, Guys, for getting it all done!  And thanks goodness it remained a Service Station, not a speedy stop.  I just had enough time to get my favorite taco at LW Market across the street, so WIN-WIN! Honest / skilled / helpful. They bring the service back in to the term "service station".Really; I've gotten to know these guys since about 1995, when Neal ( the dad of the owner; Ross) ran Tarrytown Texaco. Cody, Veldon, Ross ( etc) are straight shooters, AND have a bunch of folks who can actually draw from a wealth of knowledge due to years of being "into" working on cars in their spare time, and therefore are good at problem solving. I had a GREAT customer service experience today at Lakeway Texaco! Got a flat tire turning onto Lohman's Spur and hobbled down to the Texaco. They immediately leapt into action and determined that my tire was beyond repair, and a few minutes later showed me that my spare was shot as well. I told 'em I had a good spare at home -- and they offered to drive me there and pick it up! We did this and retuned to the station where they quickly put the good spare on. And for all this they only wanted to charge me $35! [I gave 'em a bit more.] The wonderful folks at Lakeway Texaco turned what was going to be a bad afternoon into an uplifting experience. I am so grateful that we have this garage in our area.  Whenever I've had any issues with my car, in particular with low tire pressure, someone there always helps me check it out, determine if I have a nail, and gets the tires back to the correct pressure.  The employees are so kind and helpful, and they never charge for this service. These guys are FANTASTIC! Not only did they take care of my husband and I's vehicles, they were fast, detailed with their findings, and found the best prices for us. I was stranded without a vehicle while the cars were getting fixed and these boys provided me with a ride to and from work. They stayed in constant contact with me as well which is something I had never gotten from other automotive places. Great customer service and All around great guys.
