When I look at what I have to offer as a psychotherapist and life coach, several things come to mind, the most important one being that I offer a warmth and empathy that will not only make you, the client, feel seen, heard and understood, but will also increase our ability for getting your goals achieved.
I foster a safe and supportive, nonjudgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences. Numerous studies have shown that the relationship between client and therapist is the factor in guaranteeing positive results for the client.
My brand of therapy and life coaching is not restricted to just behavioral and emotional shifts. We will look at your entire being: How do you treat yourself physically? What is your support network like? Are there habits that are getting in the way of your success? Are there creative/educational goals that are being neglected? We like to think we are great at compartmentalizing but, trust me, it’s not always that easy. Life events drift in, often contributing to a derailment of our desires and goals.
My clients come to me seeking relief from emotional pain. Nowhere is this is more evident than with my clients who are experiencing some form(s) of an eating disorder. People who have eating disorders have a difficult, complicated, and-in many cases-ruptured relationship with food which can manifest itself in a variety of ways including overeating, binge eating, bulimia, compulsive eating, anorexia, and a distorted body image. Regardless of where one falls on the spectrum, at this stage of research and practice, there are proven methods of helping people with all kinds of eating disorders to stop the destructive cycle. My success rate with my clients afflicted with an eating disorder has not only renewed their hope, but led to more sustainable, healthier, and satisfied lives.
My life experience has helped me build a practice that is diverse and vibrant. I bring an enthusiasm, openness and sense of hope to each of my clients. Hope is critical to living a satisfied life.
