What’s the secret to taking a great photograph?
Documenting and providing context. During weddings, It’s important that I tell a story and capture the grooms tear, a parents delight, a brides prayer and the coming together of people for such an occasion. It’s the story that makes the event, the event.
During high school portraits, again, knowing your subject is important. Sharing the narrative of that student is what’s important, who they and who they hope to become.
What questions might you ask a client when starting a new project?
What is your vision? Who are you and what do you plan on doing with your images?
What do you want from me?
What do you love most about your job?
Meeting new people and learning their story, learning about their culture and what their hopes and dreams are.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My love for celebration.
