This place is flat out awesome, I have lived all over south, and this is some of the best BBQ I have ever had. The service and the friendly people just add to it. I believe the young ladies name was Fran that helped us and wow, incredible service, she told us about the background and the story of the restaurant. Put it this way I don’t care how big of an appetite you have, you will not go home hungry. I have been twice and each time was the same, awesome food, great service and plenty of food to take home. They are apparently moving to a new location, I am glad we got to experience the small “house”. Because it’s part of the charm. I was in town for work and we yelped BBQ. I haven't ever had BBQ in the south before. I've only ever had it at overpriced joints in NYC or LA where I've lived. But I love BBQ. I love it. Do you understand me? I watch Diners, Drive Throughs and Dives just to look at Brisket being slapped with a brush and watch BBQ sauce get made from scratch and learn how to say worchestire. I love eating BBQ. Love I said. Sorry, I just had a private moment out loud just then. Sorry. So I had the 'baby bear' sample platter that gives you ribs, brisket, chicken and pork and corn bread and two sides for like 30 minutes of my paycheck when I actually ever get full paying gigs in my sad poor freelance life. I share it with my co worker as the server suggests and we add 2 additional sides. It was after the lunch rush and the staff was super friendly and talkative. We were clearly from out of town and they chatted and answered my city mouse IGNORANT questions like 'what is a hush puppy?' They were kind through their judgy eyes. I presented the fool that I am so they played into it with full hearts. I think the kind server secretly fell in love with me as she wanted to simultaneously educate me about her ways and the south and central Florida as well as have me show her the light and way to what it means to be a civilized person from an actual city with a meaningful, rich, progressive culture and an arts and music scene that actually has an impact on the rest of the world. We bonded deeply. You had to be there to understand. In short, (too late) I ate my face off. The check was insanely inexpensive. The food was amazing. Meat. Meet meat. Meet me at meat. Meat. What’s your signature dish?
Our BBQ.......all of it! We are authentic FLORIDA BBQ. We BBQ, not smoke our meats. Yes, smoke is a natural biproduct of BBQing, but we are cooking hot and fast and still coming up with Tender and Juicy BBQ meats.
How do you go about creating the perfect menu for your clients?
We like to get to know our client’s needs, event type, and most importantly their taste. We custom quote every job based on this set of criteria.
What do you love most about your job?
Brining a smile to folks faces through our food and service. It gives me great pleasure to see other folks satisfied with what we do, how we do it, and the service that applied.
What inspired you to start your own business?
My father.
His dream was to own a BBQ restaurant and catering business one day, well my wife and I made it happen for our family.
