This place was recommended to me by the salesman at ServiceStar when I inquired about another brew pub. As soon as I walked in, I was reminded of a place in California that I used to go 20 years ago that was really enjoyable. The food here was so much better. We started with the hot wings with the Nashville hot sauce, not very hot. Asked for the hottest sauce and didn't think that was very hot either but got a good story from the waitress about her experience.Ordered the philly cheese steak. I will be totally honest, my expectations were NOT high for this place! My husband and I had been out car-shopping and I had mentioned I was in the mood for wings. He was not in the mood for the bustle of another big chain wing restaurant on a Saturday in the fall, so he suggested Jeffersons, as he had been there during the week with work buddies.     Parking was not a problem, as it is in a strip mall that is not super busy. The decor is kind of divey sports bar without being dirty or trashy...just very casual. We were promptly greeted and got drinks quickly.     Though I was brought here for the wings, I saw the oysters on the menu and got a taste for them, so that was my initial order. I was disappointed, but actually impressed that when I did, the waitress told me that they had gotten their shipment in, but the owner/manager/chef (I forget who, but the decision-maker) had actually ejected the shipment because they didn't look large enough or fresh, so they wouldn't have oysters for a couple of days. Yes, they were out of a main menu offering, but I would rather that than they give me old or puny oysters. ANYHOO...it wall worked out because I got the opportunity to try some REALLY good wings! They were definitely much better than the "big chain wing place." There were fewer sauce flavor options, I think, but really, who orders all those others anyway?     I have seen other reviews complain about the service, so I will address that. I have been very disappointed in Jefferson's in the past.  The food was very inconsistent and the wings were not fried crispy and swimming in sauce.  However, tonight was exceptional.  I got the sweet and sassy wings with fries.  Best wings ever!!!  Perfectly fried and just enough sauce to nicely coat and melt on the wings.  Hopefully tending in the right direction. Hands down so delicious!!! The shrimp platter, double dipped boneless wings, and OMG THE MAC AND CHEESE!  Don't make my mistake. .. go ahead and order 12 heck or 24 wings  and double Mac and cheese. This was my first visit to any Jefferson's location. My waitress was very nice and checked on us constantly to see if we needed anything. We ordered the fried pickles as an appetizer, and they were pretty good. I noticed, however, once I got to the bottom, the basket was filled with grease. Unfortunately, that trend continued with my platter. I couldn't eat my onion rings because the grease was dripping out of them. I was sick later that night from all of the oil/greasiness of the food. I've heard Jefferson's is the place to go for great wings and the rumor is true! Me and some friends visited Jefferson's for the first time and decided to go for lunch. When we first got there, it was empty but by the time we left it was just about a packed house. Jefferson's reminds me of a sports bar but with good food. I actually didn't order the wings lol. I actually ordered the fried chicken salad. Now I will say, it was strange that it only came with shredded cheese, croutons and tomatoes. I asked the waitress could she add bacon and eggs to the salad and she was able to, but luckily each item only cost 0.99 cents. The salad was very good with fresh ingredients. My friends all ordered wings, hence that's why I didn't have to lol. I tried the hot wings, the teriyaki wings, and the mild with lemon pepper wings and all were delicious. They were fried extra crispy and the sauces used was good. The complaint I have is that some wings didn't have enough sauce. But our waitress brought us more. The only other complaint I have is that they charge extra for small stuff. For example, my salad was huge so I asked for an extra ranch to-go, and the waitress asked for 0.55 cents. And the reason for that was because it was "to go." I've never heard of that before but ok. First visit here today. They were busy, but not crazy. Seated right away and my server came out almost immediately. Had a Sunday special of any platter for $8. 99, so I tried the fried shrimp, normally $11.99. Shrimp size and amount were ample and the taste was good. The best tasting onion rings next to Bobby Flays "Bobby's Burger Palace"! Also the best darn pickle chips ever! My family and I come from a part of the east coast where pickle chips are a big thing. That said I never found anything close to where we're from until now. The pickle chips are actually like chips. Very crispy and not oily at all. Sooo good. Now onto the onion rings. One of my favorite places before we moved here to get onion rings was always Bobby's burger palace. Any other place I ordered onion rings from I would always compare to there. I must say Jefferson's onions rings give Bobby Flay a run for his money. Everything that my family and I had from the menu has been delicious with the exception of two things. Their coleslaw and macaroni and cheese is bland. I'm also not a fan of going into a restaurant and not being seated. That whole pick your own seat is not my thing. July 14, 2019: Been over 18 months since I was last here...Jefferson's is a quaint little out-of-the-way spot that serves up good food at a decent price. My server (sadly she never introduced herself) recommended the Sunday special of $8.99 Platters and while I considered oysters I went with the shrimp as this is not a month with an "R" in it. The Shrimp Platter had 10x good sized shrimp fried golden and I selected curly fries and potato salad with the hushpuppies and cocktail sauce. The shrimp were perfectly cooked and tasted "fresh" meaning they did not have the flavor of "old" cooking oil. Shrimp have a tendency of assuming the flavors of the oil they are cooked in...these were delicious. The curly fries were good but the potato salad and the potatoes were a bit mushy. I had lunch here today with my family and will definitely be returning! I was hesitant after reading the other reviews but everything was wonderful! We had the fried mushrooms and corn nuggets for an appetizer which came out hot and fresh. Then, I had the Jefferson burger with fries. My husband had the double cheeseburger with fries and my kids had the cheeseburger with fries and grilled cheese with apple sauce. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. First of all, I like to thank the owner of Jefferson's in Brentwood TN, David Carulla.  He called us regarding our first visit to his restaurant. David was wonderful!! He listened with compassion as my wife explained our concerns. He invited us back and we accepted. What a wonderful and delicious treat it was to dine again at Jefferson's. We noticed a nice, shiny, fairly new Jefferson's off the Manchester exit on our way to Nashville. As we headed home on Saturday evening we decided to stop in for dinner as it was an easy on and off the freeway and it was a good half way point to stretch our legs.  The decor is bright and modern! Televisions on the wall with your favorite sports options. The food was amazing...we all tried something different and no one was disappointed. I personally recommend the wings.  The evening was even a bigger hit as we had the most knowledgeable and attentive waitress named Teresa. We laughed and joked...she helped us with menu choices...and checked on us throughout our time there. She made our evening so enjoyable, so, if you ever are traveling between Chattanooga and Nashville, give Jefferson's a try and make sure to ask for Teresa for top notch service and menu advice! This is one of my favorite lunch spots in the area.  I especially like the turbo wings but the oysters and other menu items are also tasty.  The location is a little on the small side so occasionally you will run into times when it is overcrowded.  There are so many restaurants crammed in the same plaza that parking can be an issue as well, but don't let it deter you from checking it out. This place is amazing!! My husband and I got 2 dozen oysters and 2 fried oyster platter's!! Our children got mini corn dogs with applesauce and a grilled cheese with fries! ! What a nice place. I'm going to comment on the food, why I haven't tried this place, why I have finally tried it, and the unique atmosphere. "Wings, burgers, and oysters" are touted on the sign outside. So, I decided that I would try all three. I was not disappointed. First up were the oysters. While my server did not understand what "on the half shell" meant, I did get a half dozen wonderful morsels. They were large, sweet, tender and most important - purged. Well played.Second on the menu were the wings. Again, these were wonderful. Fried the same way I do at home, they came out without any funky coating. Tender, hot and meaty - these wings were great. Hot was not so hot. I ordered the "Afterburner" sauce on the side. It was moderate to my fire eating standards. I enjoyed them greatly.Last on my culinary feast was the Jefferson's Burger. Oh, boy, this was great. It was big. It was tasty. The veggies piled so high, I almost could not open my mouth big enough. Great, balanced flavors.It has taken me a long time to try this place and I am disappointed that it has taken me so long. Outside appearance was one reason I have not graced the door. Don't get me wrong, it looks nice, just not inviting enough. They are located next to a VERY popular restaurant. So traffic goes next door. It does not look like a restaurant. It is a former house. and the parking lot out front is small. There are similar restaurants with similar menus, but I was never convinced the food would be good. I was wrong.I drive for Uber. Riders have praised this place. Jefferson's sponsors activities for the high school where I teach. I felt compelled to try it. We went here this past Friday night. It's a sports bar atmosphere. Lots of televisions & everyone is talkin & having fun. The place was packed but the wait wasn't bad at all. Christie was our server and she was awesome. Asked if it was our first time (it was) & took the time to explain everything. Despite being very busy we received top notch service. She was on it. I ordered a wrap with onion rings & I can honestly say if I've had better onion rings in my day I can't remember! They were crispy not soggy & not greasy. The wrap was delicious as well. My wife had what was the Friday special, a buffalo salad (not exactly sure on the name). It was the special so it was only $6.99 & it was a big one! I gotta love some Jeffersons! These burgers are really good stuff and the wings are outstanding! If you're in the mood for a cold brew they have many on draft and by the bottle! You'd be surprised how good the giant salads are a wing joint! I really like the Jefferson burger and the chef salad too! Not together though that's too much food! You have to try the fried pickles! Great food. Great service. HOWEVER. There is one employee. I don't know her name. But she was in a black shirt wearing a 'choker. ' Rolling her eyes at other employees giving dirty looks at not only employees but customers as well. She comes off as extremely rude and ruined the vibe of the atmosphere even though she wasn't my waitress. Don't know what the dress code is here but wearing a choker around your neck in a restaurant is completely unprofessional. I'm not in a gentleman's club. I'm in a restaurant. I went here for lunch with some guys from work after a site. I ordered their Buffalo Chicken Salad and substituted the sauce for their hottest sauce. The lettuce was crispy and the chicken was perfectly cooked. The sauce, Turbo, was one of the better hot sauces I've had. The service was excellent, even though they seemed a little understaffed for the amount of dine in customers. The prices were what you would expect from a wing place.
