Delightful food, amazing service, fun decor... The Jazz and Soju chicken is very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside and full of flavor. Their soups were very hearty and did not hold back on portions with other dishes like the tonkatsu. The service was very friendly and welcoming with a very reasonable timing for the food. And the decor... wow! The bar is very elegant yet delightful while the dinning areas are comfortable yet stylish. This is definitely a place I would revisit to bring my friends to discover what more Baltimore has to offer! More...

Five stars for the ambiance and service. The food is definitely more Korean-American fusion than purely authentic Korean food. Make no mistake, the owners can crush it with traditional Korean food. But they have an audience to cater too. Korean food is still new to the USA compared to Chinese or Japanese food. The wings are the true highlight of this place. You can mix and match boneless with bone-in. Always good to get the bone for the flavor. The most unique wings I've had on my trip. More...

Came here for a date night - great wings, great drinks and ambience.I made a reservation online beforehand - which was the move, because this place seems to get quite packed over the weekend. We got the weekend special, which consists of pork mandu (Korean dumplings), edamame, house & mango salads, 6 chicken wings, a choice between bibambap and shrimp fried rice, and a choice between marinated pork and chicken teriyaki. It's a lot of food, though be forewarned - it came out to $49, so it's a bit costly. For drinks we ordered the Berry Delicious and the Lychee Sojutini. Berry Delicious lived up to its name, with the sweetness of the fruit complementing the soju perfectly. Would definitely recommend to anyone and especially those who typically enjoy cocktails!Out of all the dishes we sampled, I would order just the wings if we were to do it all over again. The menu items are all quite pricey and while the special gave us a range of foods, the wings were very clearly the highlight - super filling and super tasty. The other dishes seemed more standard fare, and I'd recommend exploring and picking other dishes on the menu instead.Loved the decor of this place. I was a bit disappointed by the live music, since we came in expecting jazz and received something more like soft pop. Overall, would advise newcomers to order the wings and try out some drinks off their drink menu. More...

I am half Korean, in my early fifties and have been ordering Soon Dubu since I was in my teens.  So when I say this is exceptional, it's based on quite a bit of experience.  I know it's the Korean fried chicken here but like I said I'm the older generation.  Homemade kimchi is not afraid to have a kick.  Reminds me of my childhood when kimchi was spicy.   Oh yeah, Silena insisted I mention her in my review as the sweetest server I've had all day, here.  But seriously, she adorbs. Love this place! I came here for the first time on Friday for their live jazz. You should definitely come visit when they have live jazz- it's a totally different atmosphere! You can find out when live jazz is from their Instagram page - it's usually Fri and/or Sat nights. I loved Alex Abdoulaev and Emily Mahoney. The music totally set the mood, and I liked their song choices. The whole ambiance of Jazz+Soju is very romantic (though not quiet due to chatter and music), hipster, and chic. Dim lighting, copper mugs and utensils, tall ceilings and rusty chandeliers. The table top was sticky though, so I'd just suggest having employees wipe the tables down better. Servers were polite and always had a smile on their face :)Their Korean Fried Chicken takes 20-25 minutes to come out, so order it right away if you know that's what you want. I think they were pretty busy Friday so it took more like 30 minutes to get our large soy garlic order. Very large pieces of chicken - SUPER crispy skin and moist! They were super delicious, but I do like the flavor of Bonchon's Korean Fried Chicken more. The chicken here is definitely on the salty side from the soy; could have used more sweetness + garlic flavor. Would also appreciate if they gave customers wet napkins to help with sticky fingers haha. Bonchon does that. We also ordered their beef+egg bibimbap (not hot stone, which is another $3). Delicious! They provide side of gochujang (Korean sweet and spicy red pepper sauce). I wish the portion was a smidge bigger. The food here is definitely on the pricey end, but if you consider the atmosphere and live music aspect to it, it makes sense. This place is more of a treat yo self kinda place since it is more expensive. Free parking 90 minutes in Anthem House Garage. You simply download the app or text a number and then click a link to start your 90 minutes. Not sure how they know when you're past 90 minutes, but you click a link to extend your time and add credit card payment. More...

I came for restaurant week dinner with my boyfriend. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. I docked a point because one of the items wasn't accurately described on the restaurant week menu, and they were so short staffed that a staff member who happened to be there for dinner (as a patron) had to unexpectedly start serving tables in his street clothes. They really should be better staffed for a Saturday evening, knowing that they'll have a decent number of customers will be walking through the door, in my opinion. More...

We went to try their restaurant week dinner menuWe found easy free public parking on the same block as the restaurant, across the street. The decor and ambiance inside was great. They created an intimate feeling with the high backed booths, hanging lights, old school movie and jazz posters all around. There was also light jazz music playing :)With three of us dining, we selected a wide variety of items to share, sampling it all. Appetizers: If if isn't Restaurant Week, I'd skip the apps next time.Tuna poke bowl was delicious and fresh.Kimchi Fries had too much cheese, not enough kimchi.Korean pancake had zero flavor.Brussel Sprouts had all the flavor, bold spicy deliciousness.Bulgogi had a delicious spice to itThe Spicy Soy Garlic wings means spicy!!! My mouth was deliciously on fire. Wonderful crispiness, with a nice juicy inside, POWERFUL flavor.Entree: I got the Jaeyook Bokum; it was good, but not as amazing as the Sizzle La Galbi; the meat was so tender, with the perfect amount of grilling.I really enjoyed our meal, but I wasn't blown away, and probably won't go back, but they were a great bucket list restaurant to check off my 'must-try'! I stumbled along this place after hearing of a 3 hour wait at a restaurant nearby. We had a group of 4 on a Saturday night and were promptly seated around 7 pm on a Saturday night. We started off with some mixed tempura, excellent coating with a great crunch. For my entree I had the pork... which was super flavorful and spicy! We also shared a group of the wings and they were nice and crispy. The spicy version is veryyy hot so I recommend getting the half and half, or else your mouth will be on fire. The Korean fried chicken is hard to beat with a crisp shell enveloping an incredibly tender interior. We shared the large portion amongst 4 people and it was the perfect amount. Honorable mentions include the japchae and bulgogi fried rice which were well cooked and seasoned. All too often I've visited Korean restaurants offering dishes drowned in sauce. We sat at the bar and was greeted by a nice bartender who took care of us right away. I had the Asian pear mojito and my husband just a bud light. For food, he ordered the 10 wings 1/2 and 1/2! He loved them but did make a few "wow's" and "ooohhhhs" while eating the spicy. Let's just say his nose was running when he finished those so yea, they're hot! I had the chicken skewers which were yummy. It came with this amazing sauce and green and purple cabbage which I devoured! We also got an order of French fries that were really hot and fresh! We came back and ordered the bulgogi fried rice as well as the fire-beef bulgogi! Both were delicious, the fire-beef bulgogi cake with a fried egg on top and then bulgogi fried rice was more of a mixture of the bulgogi and fried rice with veggies, however you could add a fried egg for $1. 50 to the dish. Their water comes in Moscow mule-esque cups which keep the water extra cold. Their cutlery is also copper, keeping with the theme. I enjoyed their decorations, with a wall of old records from Jazz artists like Duke Wellington. This restaurant is a must go! More...

Have been here a few times, always with a group of friends. On my first visit, the restaurant was amazing at accommodating our growing group on a Friday night. Definitely will be returning in the future. Location/Parking: Located under Anthem House in the Federal Hill neighborhood, across from a large shopping center with Shoppers/Chipotle/Starbucks. You can park in the Anthem House garage, where your first 90 minutes are free (if I'm remembering correctly, you still have to register your credit card number with an app to park but they won't ask to charge your card until after the 90 minutes). I've also walked over after parking in the Shoppers parking lot area.Food/Drink/Vegetarian options: First off, this place has an amazing variety of soju martinis - flavors include lychee, mango, guava, and passionfruit. Lychee is my personal favorite, but I've had sips of several flavors and they were all great! What I like is that the flavors taste fresh and aren't artificial or overly sweet. All of their drinks are served in cute glassware. The menu has several dishes that can be made vegetarian, and they can also make any veggie sushi roll that you like. During my first visit, I ordered the veggie tempura udon, which I did not like at all, but my friend loved it - I think I just didn't love the slightly fishy flavor of the broth. The second time I went, we had the kimchi fries which were delicious and veggie sushi which was served in a larger portion than I expected. Several friends have said the fried chicken is absolutely amazing. Service: Attentive waitress, always made sure we were okay, great with refilling drinks.Ambiance: A little bit of a mixed ambiance. It tries to be upscale-trendy with gorgeous cutlery, copper cups for water, fun record display and cute pillows, but then has several huge TVs in the middle of the dining room, which give it a more sports-bar feel. I would recommend it as a good place to go with a group, not so much date night unless you want to go somewhere casual.Attire:Casual. More...
