Excellent quality produce, meats, seafood, cheeses. Lots of specialty and imported items. Some general items are higher-priced than chain grocers, but can't beat the customer service and selection for the specialty items.

Janssen’s Market is both an excellent grocer, as well as a community staple. The people who work there are lovely, and take a genuine interest in their customers. That goes for both the staff, and the owners themselves, who frequently get their hands dirty working on the sales floor with their employees. They are successful enough that they could let the market run itself, but they truly care about product quality and customer experience. Highlights (to me) are the butcher and the cheese counter (and not just because I’m a cheese fiend!) Both not only have the highest quality and best selection in the area, but are more than willing to offer assistance and advice. There is a reason why Janssen’s customers are loyal for life. I could not live without this store.  They have a loyal neighborhood clientele because they offer the freshest produce, meats, various bakery items, prepared foods, and a wide selection of cheeses.  They also carry that unusual ingredient that you can't find any where else.  The owners go out of their way to entice their patrons with new products. These folks catered my holiday party and did a superb job!  Everything from the cheese platter, mushroom cups, caprese and salami skewers to desserts to the set up and decorations were incredible.   Thanks to the gals who came over on a Sunday (in the middle of the Eagles game!) to put everything together.  Jansens did such a great job, I'm inspired to throw more parties in the future just to have them cater them.
