Best Indian food I’ve had in the US. Rivals the best food in the UK. I couldn’t tell you about dining in India proper but The UK may be the Indian cuisine capital of the world outside of India. .. Jai Ho is competes in that league for taste and quality.RecommendSalmon Tandoori Medium HotSaag Paneer Medium HotDal Makhni Medium HotGarlic Naan More...

The food was good, the ambience was great. Hindi music playing was the best part. If you are indian and want normal food, I would not suggest going for extra spicy. Other than that, it was quite like what you would expect from an Indian restaurant. Could be a little pricy if you don’t think while ordering and are a college student. More...

I love Jai Ho so much. Ignore all the haters below, this place is awesome and my husband and I have visited multiple times. The buffet on the weekend is awesome - $15, everything from chutneys to butter chicken, naan, goat madras and lentils. I basically had to roll out of there today because I was so full. But I couldn't stop. If you're in the park or midtown for any reason and you want some Indian food, this is your place. It's good and relatively inexpensive and it's just an absolutely yes all around!! Jai Ho! More...

Overall I will give 3.5 stars. Service- they cleaned tables really quick with any dirty dishes. Really appreciated. Kept a watch on glasses and filled regularly with water. However buffet was not filled quickly and needed reminders to them. Before we finished we were served check without asking- I really don’t like being rushed. Everyone was very pleasant and eager to help quick. Food was hit or miss. We went for Sunday brunch. I am a vegetarian. Only dish with gravy was saag panner. Other two dishes were dry sabji. Mango mousse dessert finished in between and was replaced by chocolate mousse. Good variety. I would recommend using less oil though. Chutni were great and we enjoyed the pakoras. Restrooms were clean and smelling fresh. Overall would try again.a More...

Jai Ho is tucked away in area just offside the future Eastside Trail that I had not noticed until visiting offices nearby. I was very pleased with both of my visits and it has always satisfied my Indian food cravings. I really love Thalis and have tried the Aloo Gobi thali and the Chicken Tikka thali. The aloo gobi dish was quite good, but the chicken tikka thali was AMAZING. It is full of the warm, comforting flavors you want when ordering the dish. The thalis are always very hearty and filling coming with naan and rice (a carb-lovers dream!). On both occasions we also ordered the Chicken Chettinad which is one of my new favorite Indian dishes. It's complex dish with loads of spices and a subtle, yet lovely, coconut undertone. It's a dish that I will probably get every time I eat at Jai Ho. I really like that you can choose your spice level, too. We always opt for a medium spicy and have always found it to be a balance of being spicy so that it complements the flavors and not detracts. The staff is always very helpful and if you catch the chef, he's always very excited to chat about the dishes which has helped us learn a lot about the things we've tried. If you go at lunch, timing can be a little crunched if it's busy which might be the only drawback. Overall, I really enjoy Jai Ho and will definitely return. If you're a fan of good Indian food that has the perfect balance of flavors and textures, definitely give it a try! More...

Great hidden gem in midtown. Food was very tasty. I forgot the name of what I got but it was a chicken dish with a tomato sauce. I ordered kadhai panner and peshawari naan which is generally sweet but was good and garlic naan. They have both open outside dining area and inside comfortably sitting space with proper distance between the tables.
