I am originally from New England where they have the absolute best pizza in the United States! Since moving to Tennessee I have struggled to find good pizza. Found it here!! Delicious thin crust crunchy flavorful goodness! We enjoyed Caesar salad with anchovies, Margarita slice with eggplant and garlic, cheese slice, meat pie, white slice with eggplant , fried calamari and eggplant rollatini. The sauce is absolutely delicious with great flavor. The calamari was perfectly coated very lightly and fried perfect. Excellent Caesar dressing. Heard good things and was not disappointed. Started off with the calamari arrabiata. Peppers, garlic, jalapeños...pretty delish, would order again. Tried their classic pizza, Neopolitan style. Today I stopped in for lunch and got 2 slices to go. One Sicilian and one Buffalo Chicken Pizza slice. WOW. Being from NY we are always on the lookout for good pizza. This place definitely has it. The Sicilian slice was light and airy with a crispy crust. The sauce was perfect as was the cheese. The Buffalo Chicken slice was also excellent. The chicken was spicy with a little heat to it and the crust had the perfect "crunch". I would also like to say that the owner is very personable and friendly. Some of the worst food I've ever eaten. The service was horrible and it took almost an hour to get the food after they messed up the order twice. Finally get the food and the dough was still uncooked and for $1.29 per topping, there was almost no toppings and nothing but cheese. The food looked like it was purchased from a gas station. Their Sicilian pizza has a crust that is like candy! Soft middle, crisp buttery bottom and sides. You can tell this place only uses fresh, quality ingredients and they know what they are doing. Our first time here, so we decided to try the pizza. We started off with a draft beer. They have a small selection of national brands. They are really missing the mark by not incorporating the myriad of local beers in the area. The pizza is quite expensive. When we discovered it would be $24 for four slices with two topping, we opted for a whole (large) pizza with one (sausage) topping. It didn't take very long for our fresh pizza to arrive at our table. For the money, we could have had a little more sausage. However, I liked the pizza very much. It's made in a commercial pizza oven, and was well baked. I thought the crust was thin enough and stood up well to the sauce and cheese. I also liked the crust, which was not too large and bubbly. So, two beers and pizza was $31 (before tip), but we brought home half (four slices). I would be interested in trying other items on the menu. Service was excellent too. We were greeted and seated immediately upon entering. Our waitress was knowledgeable, friendly and efficient. She checked back on us just the right amount. I am first generation American Italian, from N Y. lived in east TN for 48 years. we were so excited when this restaurant opened. it was as close to NY as we could imagine. Then it was sold, the new owners know nothing about NY style pizza if our pizza tonight is their best effort. $41.00 dollars for a 18 inch the original special pie and a salad. we each ate two bites and threw it in the trash. will never go back. don't understand why other people that have left reviews like they're Gordon Ramsay or something special but EVERYTHING we had was Amazing! My daughter and I visited Jaboni’s for the first time Sunday, May 15th. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, went to the hostess stand and a girl was sitting at the bar seating beside the hostess stand. She turned and looked at us and continued to look at her iPhone. We assumed she was a customer. Finally a waiter appeared and asked how many and she grabbed two menus. To my surprise, the girl at the bar playing on her phone turned around and took the menus from the waiter. She sighed and mumbled come this way. Her appearance was unkept at best description. I was appalled she sat there while we waited. The waiter got our drinks and we explained this was our first visit and we needed sometime to review the menu. She said okay and we waited and waited for her to come back. Nope she didn’t return. I placed 4.00 on the table for my glass of tea which I didn’t drink. The restaurant did not have a welcoming vibe, wasn’t the most clean looking dining area. By the way, a guy was on the phone at the front cash register, could have been taking an order. I thought I had reviewed this a few years ago but don't find it....we returned tonight because we had heard it had new owners and wanted to check it out again (first experience was marred by bad service and some rather odd and customer-unfriendly policies). We found it all quite good tonight. Others have said the pizza is a bit pricey, but I'll say we had a wonderful meal for 3, with lots of leftovers, ordering two appetizers and one full pizza. They were pretty accommodating on our special requests (split pizza, different topics on each), which was very different from the previous visit (when we could not order a single slice to go with our other entrees, unless we physically went up to the counter and ordered a slice and paid for it separately). Service was good; full bar and pitchers of beer- that helped things too.My wife loves calamari but didn't want to order it, figuring it would be the fast-food style with mushy tomato sauce on the side...but we did try and it was excellent-- lightly breaded and wonderful tomato (big chunks) sauce (sorry I don't know the right word for the accompanying sauce). OK, that's enough....I just wanted to put in a rating since it's new owners and I thought it was pretty good. We've tried Jaboni's twice. Once for take-out and once for dining-in. The food was good both times. However, the atmosphere dining-in might be fun. .. if you're into screaming staff and sarcastic servers. Not to mention they haven't/don't take any observable Covid precautions and were mocking about it when asked. Yeah, no thanks. So, I'm really disappointed. The last two times we've had poor service at this specific jaboni's.this time I had clearly said two pepperoni pizzas with light sauce and a salad. she asked my to repeat myself so I did. My boyfriend paid and didn't ask for a receipt. We waited the time she had stated which was 35 minutes. My boyfriend picked it up and she handed him the salad and one pizza. He asked her where the other pizza was and she said you only ordered one. So I went in and I said, "I'm sorry I really don't want to make a stink but we ordered two pizzas with the salad." She replied with, " No honey, you ordered one." Then she proceeded to print the receipt. i Asked how long to get a second pizza and she said the same amount of time for the first one. Now she was only correct in the sense she only put us down for one pizza. The part that gets me is that the single pizza we did get wasn't even light sauce. So thats my proof that she clearly wasn't listening And there was no room for an apology of possibly not hearing me. Pizza is great, but the older guy in the kitchen who has been swearing up a storm at everyone each time we have been in there really takes away from it. If I could give 0 stars I would. They may have good food but the owner is disgusting, he makes comments about his workers bodies like calling them fat.
