We went to J Dominick’s because we kept hearing so many wonderful things about this Restaurant!! We finally decided to go and it was DELICIOUS! ! Everyone LOVED their meals!!! Went on Saturday night with a group and sat outside to listen to the band. Everything was perfect. Our server, Laurie was terrific! Attentive and friendly. The food...delicious! The only issue we had was the OBNOXIOUS 3 women at the table next to us who were clearly intoxicated, loud and who made disparaging comments about everyone that walked by. This was our first time visiting this restaurant. The decor and building itself were impressive . We were seated right a way and our orders were taken in a timely manner. It was a wait for our salads. The bread was delicious. Once our entrees were served that was the end of our attentive service. A table of four women were seated in our section who apparently knew our waiter. He was so focused on them that we were neglected. I was unable to catch his eye for a drink refill and we waited a very long time to get our check. I must say the food was delicious and the serving sizes were ample. This is a great place if you like to eat! The food is very tasty and there is plenty of it. It is mid priced and well worth it. The ambiance is quite nice with a fireplace in one room and a great old bar (and more tables) in the other. There is also a private room upstairs for parties. If you're in the mood for pasta, then you've found your Mecca. The Zuppa di Pesce is a seafood pasta heaven that I guarantee you won't finish in one sitting. It's listed as a single meal but could easily feed 3-4 hungry people. The mussels and scallops (amongst the other seafood in it) are always fresh and abundant.
