Great little spot for a wholesome, value based italian meal.  Always clean and welcoming.  If you want fancy surroundings and high prices, not the spot. Great pizzas and stuffed pasta.  Kids were always able to split a chicken parm (their favorite) and had plenty of food.  Maybe one issue in all the years(almost 25 going there) and it was resolved right away, no hassle.  Only reason not giving it full 5 stars, generally save those for Michelin rated spots that really kill it but in it's price range, THE VILLA ROCKS!!!  Great place to host a dinner party or bday because they have separate rooms available. My search for the perfect NY style pizza is never ending but this place does a good job attempting it. I started ordering pizzas from here ever since I moved to Allen TX 4yrs ago. It's a small casual restaurant with a decent size dining area where you can eat with family. But I usually choose to get takeout and the service has been consistently good. They also offer some great promotions on their website. Last night I was craving my beloved NY style pizza so I ordered a large half cheese and half mushroom pizza. They always comply if you make special requests such as to cut the pie with a clean knife (for vegetarians or religious reasons) etc. They had my order ready in 20 mins as promised. The pizza was ok but they usually make it better perhaps since it was near closing time. I just wish they could make it more like the ones I grew up eating in NY which, had a crust that's thick yet crisp along the edges and when you fold it in half, all the oil starts dripping. The best thing ever! It's not fair to ask for a perfect NY style pizza in good ol' Texas but can't help it. Italian Villa is still worth going to if you are as crazy about NY style pizza as myself. This place is a GEM. The best pizza I've ever eaten. I ordered eggplant parm for my wife, and without any hesitation, she proclaimed it was the best she ever had. This is my favorite Italian food in Allen! My wife and I love every dish we have had here. Only reason it's not 5 stars is because of the service. It's a little sporadic and waitstaff seems to get easily overwhelmed and not communicate with each other. They don't seem to work together very well, when one person is very busy others need to share the load. Also the young lady that sat us at our table was on her phone texting or looking at Facebook almost the entire time we were at the restaurant. Management needs to step it up. She wasn't very observant and service could've been a lot better. All in all the food is great just be prepared to wait a while. This is a great, local, family owned restaurant. I have been coming here since I was a child. Now I'm an adult with my own family, I bring MY children here! The food is consistently great and the staff is always friendly. Today I was stuck at work so I ordered delivery through UberEats and had the Chicken Murphy. SO GOOD!! I order a lot of Uber Eats from here. My usual order is calamari and Chicken Scarparelli. I've also tried their Chicken Cacciatore and Chicken Murphy. The calamari is cooked perfectly but I do specify to keep it pretty rare. I also love the pasta...I add onion for more flavor. Had the pasta sampler and regret it. Sauce was very bland. Should've had the sausage and peppers instead that my fiancé decided to order. Used the eat24 delivery Service from this restaurant since I was feeling under the weather. The food was delivered to my doorstep within 40 minutes and was hot, fresh and wonderful. I ordered fried cheese which I knew better, cuz fried cheese is served to eat immediately by I wanted to give it a go. I then had the lasagna. An all time favorite of mine. It was perfect and a great value for the size. We got to enjoy salads with our entrees and I can say I will feel comfortable ordering take out or delivery with them again. Great local place. The menu is hit and miss. A bit expensive for pasta and most of the dinners are chicken and pasta.  I do like the fried calamari they are nice big rings. The manicotti was good. My husband and I were on our way to get a Chicago style deep dish pizza, but when we got there, there was no place for us to dine, very hot/stuffy inside and the pizzas were very expensive, so we decided against it. We saw other restaurants like Jalapeño's Mexican Grill and Italian Villa on a way there. We went into the Jalapeño's and we didn't want to eat there, because it smelt funny in there, so we left and went to Italian Villa instead. At 830pm, there were many customers dining, I figured that it was a good sign that the food might be decent or why else they would be here eating this late on Thursday night? There are so many items on the menu. I ordered Rigatoni Pomodoro and my husband ordered 16" special(minus the black olives. He's not a fan). Our server had brought us some bread(delicious). I've mentioned on my previous review that my husband is an extremely picky eater when it comes to food, but he approves that the pizza is out of this world! My meal was like a home made just the way I would make it with fresh sauce and tomatoes with herbs(See pics).Needless to say, we will definitely return, no question. We have been here several times and when we want Italian it is our go to now. Everything from the heavenly garlic bread before the meal to the pasta is awesome. Huge portions. Tonight I got 3 dinner orders to go. Chicken Parmigiana. Spaghetti and another dish.  Everything was so good. It was ready so quickly I could barely believe it.    Update:  my wife and I ordered from here last night.  We had it delivered.  Got a pizza and Chicken Maximo added a Ceasar salad.  When I opened the salad I was so disappointed. Amazing!  Our favorite family owned restaurant!  My family started going here since forever ago! New to the neighborhood. .wanted to find a great go to Italian restaurant . One that had quick but good food to go. THIS IS THE PLACE! ! . I'm from NYC so I've been spoiled. I have been visiting Italian Villa off and on since my first visit with relatives in 2005. After 10 years, I still enjoy it as much as the first visit. Please understand you have to know what you're getting. This is not an upscale or trendy Dallas restaurant with high end prices. It is a family-owned local, no frills italian restaurant in a run of the mill strip mall. I visited again yesterday and always am impressed with the friendliness of the staff. They always seem to go out of their way to check on you, make sure you have drink refills, etc. The food at IV is great. Large portions and a lot of options from pasta to pizza to meat dishes. I normally get one of the many pasta dishes such as the stuffed shells, pasta sampler or manicotti. All always come out very hot and taste homecooked, unlike what you'll find at your standard Italian chain for a higher price. The complimentary rolls are also a huge plus! They are garlic rolls served with little packets of butter, and they're very generous with bringing out more as requested - so good! Prices are very reasonable for a dine-in restaurant ($6.95 & up), depending on what you want. I think the best deal is the lunch specials. Most are $7.95 and include a large portion entree, house salad, garlic rolls and soda or tea. The tomato vinaigrette on the house salad is really good. If you are looking for affordably priced and tasty italian, I would not hesitate to try this place out! More...
