There is a lot of competition for Italian food in Spokane and the Italian Kitchen is tied for the top in my opinion. The food is truly excellent and the atmosphere makes you feel that you stepped into a fine dining establishment in southern Italy. My friend and I have been there numerous times and have never been disappointed. It was so much fun. The wait staff was so helpful and fun. The wine was great. This place was in a small storefront near my hotel and looking at the reviews, I decided to eat here.I felt weird ordering a, essentially, a fancy Mac and cheese from a nice Italian restaurant but it was quite good. The bacon and pruschuto and the choices of cheese made this a very good dish. The house salad with the vinaigrette was very good, along with the espresso, complete with sugar cubes and lemon twist, I got after the meal.The best part about the experience was eating all of that outdoors. Really good sauce! Pleasant staff! Have had the Ravioli and spicy Italian sausage for lunches. Both were excellent. My lunch partner gets the spaghetti and loves it tremendously! Recommend going here.

I just love this cute authentic restraunt. The food was perfect, the service was awesome. I really wanted to go there again for our 30th anniversary but because downtown has become so filled with undesirables we no longer feel safe parking and walking to the restraunt. Last time we had to park behind the building and walk through the dark alleyway. Unfortunatly we will be driving to CDA this yr to cellebrate. It's too bad too because this place has great food.
