We've driven past the Italian Cafe on Kuykendahl for years but never tried it. Frankly, the strip center facade wasn't the most inviting. Â We tried it tonight and were very pleasantly surprised. I had never been before, and ordered from Uber Eats while I was at work. Such a good find. I ordered the fettuccini alfredo with chicken. Delicious, huge portion, and we'll packaged. Also, my order came with a side salad. I didn't specify a dressing, but the dressing they sent with it was so good! (But I have no idea what it was. Pics below.) More...

My wife and I have never been here before and WOW! The food was amazing from start to finish. For dessert we tried the Cannoli and spot on! ! Definitely coming back again soon. Oh and the garlic knots UMMM some of the best and couldn't stop eating them. Highly recommend this place. More...

I was pleasantly surprised by Italian Cafe. A quaint unassuming restaurant in the middle of a strip mall. The interior reminds me of a scene out of Lady and the Tramp. The garlic bread that they provide was a little underwhelming. The bread itself did not come out warm, it was harder than I had expected and instead of being basted with a little butter and garlic, it appeared to have olive oil and parmesan cheese drizzled over the top. The fettucini Alfredo with shrimp was delicious. the pasta was perfectly cooked and came already tossed with fresh black pepper. The shrimp were large and were not overcooked at all. I loved that the alfredo was creamy but not too thick or too heavy on the cream and cheese. The service was fast and polite. I would give this place a try again. More...

We get really tired of Italian chain restaurants. The service is usually subpar, the food is usually bland and they continue to raise their prices. I was craving real authentic Italian food last week so I convinced my boyfriend to try this place with me after reading the reviews. It was amazing! I had the cannelloni and he tried the lasagna. Both entrées came with a salad and garlic butter bread knots. Their homemade Italian dressing on the salad was amazing. There could've been a bit more garlic on the garlic bread but the texture and warmth was fabulous! We wanted to get dessert but we did not have the room! With two large entrées that included salad and bread and only drinking water before tip our bill was only $27. My boyfriend wants to try the pizza after seeing it in person and there are about five other things on the menu I'd like to try including their tiramisu and lemon mascarpone cake! It's a smaller setting so it's very intimate and the servers do bus their own tables as well as seat you but we felt like we had spectacular service! I broke my foot a week ago so I came into the restaurant on a scooter and they were fully accommodating and polite as they could be. Can't wait to return! More...

I had the grilled salmon and thought it was perfectly cooked I also noticed that it was nice and crunchy on the outside ,but it is not as good as my moms crab cake.

We have been here a couple of times, food was absolutely fantastic! I've had the shrimp scampi and the crispellini and both dishes were outstanding! Excellent selection of wines as well! We are excited to try their pizzas! We have been going to Pizza Zone for YEARS, but the lines for people ordering pizzas and picking them up was nonstop, so they must be good! I see why the locals eat here.  I'm from the same town Dean Martin is from, we know Italian food.  You get fresh bread rolls, the salad is full of Caesar, spinach and spring leaves.  They provide REAL olive oil. I got the chicken piccata, and added a side of spinach. The chicken was flavorful, tender and fresh, the pasta was perfectly done with just the right balance of lemon and butter, and you didn't have an over salty caper taste like  can happen sometimes. For dessert, I got a nice sized NY cheesecake that was professionally garnished, it was supreme! The coffee was perfect. The service was excellent as well. This place is a well kept secret. Wanted a simple Italian Dinner but since I SERIOUSLY was mistreated at the last location I was just at (F-Bomb Pizza) DO NOT GO THERE! !!!...They are seriously prejudious and disrespectful people....I went home loaded up the family and came here! OMG, I just found a hidden gem! (Doesn't  that how it usually how it happen?) ....and they found a customer for life when we need an Italian Fix....We had Custom Pizzas, Baked Ziti, Pasta and Shrimp in a Nice Cream Sauce.There cannoli's were awesome the creme was not to heavy and had a perfect amount of flavor, and the Chocolate cake (what did I just eat OMG AMAZING!)I love this place and NOW I will have to work out more to come here for sure!! Everything from beginning to end was phenomenal, had a party of 9, reservation went off without a hitch and we were waited on very well. Attentive and precise, the food was to die for! So much care and you could tell they really loved making the dishes, everyone immediately sighed a moan of relief knowing the dish was going to be great from beginning to end. The overall experience was amazing and it defiantly made me feel at home (I am from New England so Mom n' Pop Italian places were often like this). Being a true New Englander moved south I can certainly tell you that the taste was reminiscent of New York's Little Italy or Rhode Island's family run favorites. The bread rolls brought out are a classic garlic and oil combination which tastes amazing and has you craving more. I myself had the chicken Marsala which was a little on the sweet side for my taste but the pasta dishes my mother and father had received good marks.
