I genuinely think this is the best Hawaiian place in San Diego. Only had the deluxe musubi and it was good. Made to order since I saw them scramble the eggs in the back, which is appreciated. I found it odd that there were no customers in the restaurant the entire maybe 10 mins I was in there. Great food and friendly staff! I’ve been here many times and always get their island style Hawaiian mix which is very filling and cheap. It comes with a few short ribs, teriyaki beef, your choice or chicken (I always get garlic chicken or Mochiko chicken— theyre both crispy chicken pieces but marinated differently), 2 scoops of rice, and 1 scoop of macaroni. They have a small menu of Hawaiian favorites and the largest list of various items for musubi. I really like their specialty fries. They're crispy with a light coating to hold up with to the sauce the meat is cooked in. They have Hawaiian shaved ice which we're excited to see on a hot day.
