Service wasn't the best. I wish the service had been better, but we did really enjoy the food. What a great find on ACK.   During our couple of weeks on Island, we became regulars for their fantastic breakfasts.  Great omelets, fresh coffee, great service, and the cinnamon roll french toast is a must. We also went to one evening for dinner.  Each of our meals were freshly prepared fish dishes and were just outstanding.    Service was a bit off compared to breakfast, but easily overlooked that aspect based on the high-quality food and everything being served hot. Great breakfast spot on nantucket. I have now tried "the animal" and the "breakfast sandwich" both are very very good. They have "healthy" options my boyfriend got the egg white spinach omelet which was also very good. I'd say this is by far my favorite breakfast spot on the island, only flaw is slow service but that is everywhere I have ever been on Nantucket, and the delicious food makes up for it. They have a great outdoor patio, and during peak season weekends are busy and I would recommend making a reservation esp for larger parties. More...

This place is GAS! So good. There coffee and fresh squeezed OJ are amazing. I'm a fan of almost everything on the menu. Breakfast lunch dinner & ice cream you seriously can't go wrong at IK! My go-tos are The Animal for breakfast with a griddled blueberry muffin, their pulled pork and shrimp Caesar salad are my sneaky lunch favorites and their shrimp shumai as a dinner app is some of the best I've ever had!

Tasty eggs and the ice cream next door is the best on the island, also very friendly scoopers :) I recommend the Honey Nut Cheerios or going to surfside shack and getting the brown sugar cookie dough!

LOVE this place!!! Have been for breakfast and dinner. The food is always fantastic, and the service is wonderful. For breakfast my husband really enjoys the moroccan egg dish. For dinner, the shrimp shumai are yummy. Really enjoy the quinoa chicken salad at dinner- crispy chicken atop quinoa and arugula with grilled veggies and a yummy sweet and sour sauce. SO delicious! Fabulous. Simple sausage, eggs, Portuguese muffin, homemade hash browns, all fabulous. The sausage was actually grilled, like. ..grill marks...like a burger would be grilled. It made a huge difference. Potatoes were great and the scrambled eggs were perfect...you'd be surprised how easy eggs are to mess up. Marvelous Malcom made the meal an amazing experience. His southern charm on Nantucket Island was matched by the northern cuisine! Now to the food...Portuguese muffins, who knew.. never heard of them but I'm on a search to deplete the island of them and bring them back to Lighthouse Point! We sat outside at Island Kitchen and they have a lot of seating and can accomodate large groups. They did move on island time, so if you're in a hurry this may not be the spot for you. I got the tofu scramble, but you can't go wrong with the avocado toast, eggs benedict, breakfast burrito, or the animal sandwhich which is panko crusted eggs, bacon, sausage, with hollandaise on a brioche bun.
