We had a destination Indian wedding in Cancun, Mexico but we are from San Francisco! Without even having a trial, I decided to book Ishnae & Co just from looking at their social media content. It was such a successful decision on my part. They made me look like a queen and feel like a princess! Why I suggest to book them: - Renee and Maria are patient and understanding. Indian weddings can be overwhelming and we had 5 separate outfit changes, thus 5 makeup/hair looks. I had friends, family, fiancee over frequently and they had such proficient mannerisms. - They are true professionals and know their art form. They are creative yet they listen to what the bride wants, they will steer you right. - They were always prompt, they were so kind taking care of my well-being (whenever I was hungry or thirsty, they were considerate in helping me eat). Renee and Ishah were AMAZING! I used them for hair and makeup for my Indian/Sri Lankan wedding. I had 4 events that I wanted different looks for, but I didn’t know the exact looks I wanted to go with. Short version: I used Ishshah and Renee for my trial and events. They are amazing, attentive, patient, punctual, and super talented! Their work exceeded all expectations and looked great hours later. They seemed to actually care to make you happy without any diva-like attitude. If you want to more details, please keep reading. Long version: I have super sensitive skin and very uncooperative hair. I've been on medication for my skin for over 10+ years. Every other time I've had my hair done in the past, the curls would fall apart after an hour. Needless to say, I needed a team that was willing to be super patient with me. I booked a trial to see how things would go.Weeks before, their team asked for specific details about all my skin issues, and patiently responded to all my questions. It was clear they really wanted to make this work. Prior to the trial, they gave me a list of brands they use. I was able to play with the products at Sephora well in advance to ensure no reactions. At the trial, Renee wrote down all the products she used. The team followed up with me after, and thankfully no reactions! Also, I forgot to bring my hair extensions but Ishah somehow still made my hair look amazing! 5+ hours later when I came home, the curls were still in tact, in my real hair! I was thoroughly impressed with how I looked and how things held up. For my wedding, they showed up slightly early and we got started right away! Again, totally blown away by what they produced. I showed some Pinterest inspiration pictures and what I got was wayyyy better than Pinterest. Renee, also brought her notes with her from the trial so we could use all the products she knew I wouldn't react to. These ladies are very thorough and very caring. An aunty was supposed to help me get ready, but she never showed up. Ishah and Renee kept me calm throughout the entire ordeal, and stepped up to help in any way they could. For the reception, they completely removed everything and started from scratch. I have actually heard of artists just adjusting what they have already done but still charging a ton. Ishah and Renee are legitimately giving you full looks each time. Again, they were on time and finished on schedule. Like the trial, the curls and hair stayed put! They did hair and makeup for me and my wedding party (including makeup for my bridesman) back in October 2018 for my Indian wedding and reception. While I had done a hair and makeup trial with them for my wedding look, I really did not have any idea what I wanted for my reception look. Let me begin by saying: I have worked as a free lance makeup artist for Estee Lauder and am THE PICKIEST PERSON EVER. Everything from the skincare before application to the final spritz was what dreams are made of when it came to working with Renee and Ishah. Every product was high end and their technique was impeccable. They listen to what you say and intuitively also know how to work with different face types, skin textures, and skin tones. My hair usually ends up frizzy but their expertise with hair styling was very apparent as not a hair went out of place. Do not hesitate to order extensions through them if you want to take it to the next level as they provide them at a discounted price than if you went out to get extensions on your own. I loved their work on Instagram and knew an Indian bride they had previously worked with (she absolutely loved them as well). From the moment they first emailed me back to the moment we finished my makeup and hair on my wedding day, they had me completely at ease. Professionalism paired with talent and personality had me relaxed, happy, and extremely satisfied with my look- even though we didn't have a trial! Imagine looking BETTER than your bridal inspo. BONUS FOR DESI BRIDES: They know how to PROPERLY install all jewelry and hair pieces (tikka, jhoomer, mathaa patti etc). My dubatta was SO heavy yet it stayed put all night comfortably with minimal pins and no damage to my intricate net fabric. When I look back at my photos, I am EXTREMELY happy that I picked Ishnae for my big day- to put it simply, they were the best money I spent at my wedding along with my photographer. Phenomenal is not even a piece of how wonderful Renee was and my experience with Ishnae & Co. I went in blind for my wedding, and didn't do a trial, but I had complete faith in Renee and was definitely not disappointed, she was firstly well prepared, on time! Which time makes a huge difference on your wedding day timeline, and she kept me smiling and laughing through all of the chaos swirling around me. It literally took her 30 seconds to set up and she did my makeup soooooooooooo beautifully, I kept staring at myself all night. She is very talented and knows exactly what she is doing, I told her my skin problems(oily T-zone) and through all of my dancing sweating and some rain, my face was still beat at the end of the night. The last weekend, I worked in one of my biggest wedding 2018 and this beauty is so stunning, she knew what she wants and she wants everything must be perfect, of course, wedding is just comes only once in the lifetime. I literally can not say better things about them! They worked with me on the price and did a STUNNING job! I've never looked better than I did this past weekend. . the best part was I showed them a few examples of what I was looking for and they then took it and ran with it.. and it came out literally exactly what I wanted if not wayyyy better! They just understood what I wanted and did it! I asked for a daytime full face with contour, glow, and golden bronze eyes with a curled up do and deep side part. The end result was AMAZING! I have nothing but wonderful things to say about their service. Renee and Isha took care of my hair and makeup for my bridals and wedding day. They were on time, sanitary, and so friendly. Where do I even begin I used Ishnae for my Indian Wedding in August and I could not be happier!! A friend of mine recommended the Ishnae team to me while I was wedding planning. While I love dressing up, I could not be more indecisive about my makeup and hair choices for the wedding. My mom and I came in for our trial about six months before the wedding and I loved the results! It was difficult to picture at the time how everything would look, but I had a blast with the girls and could see how detail-oriented and passionate they were when they were getting us ready. Flash forward to the wedding weekend - they arrived exactly on time and had all of us ready and looking perfect within the window we allotted! It's a small point, but an important one when you have tight schedules on your wedding weekend! I think most girls are usually pretty picky and direct about their makeup/hair decision...I, instead, brought some sample pictures and told them what I did/did not like. I had some thoughts ready for my Wedding and Sangeet looks but had no idea where to begin with the Reception. Honestly though, it didn't even matter! This team knows what they are doing. I was looking for a good place to get my hair and make up done for a special family occasion. I found them on Facebook and didn't think twice about booking them. I live in Houston my mom, sis in law and cousin also went with me. We all loved this place and the special they had of hair & makeup for $100. The girls are all so sweet & bilingual that was a plus.
