What do you love most about your job?
Helping individuals break free from depression, anxiety, trauma and other stressors is tremendously rewarding. Particularly when seeing how, being free from these burdens, the individual is able to more fully realize his or her potential.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Having worked as a clinical psychologist within the University of California, Davis, Medical Center for many years I decided to open a private practice. Within the private sector my colleagues and I are able to serve clients without the constraints of red tape and multiple layers of bureaucracy. It allows for a more personal connection with those we serve.
Why should our clients choose you?
At Invictus Psychological Services you have therapists that are highly trained, and who specialize in helping people with the very sort of problems you are experiencing. We do not try to be all things to all people - that would diminish our effectiveness. Instead we focus on helping those who are anxious, depressed or troubled by trauma.
If someone comes to us seeking help for some other concern, and we are not able to be of assistance, we work to find another counselor who has that expertise. We also believe in the power of teamwork, and consequently will frequently consult with each other in order to find the best way of bringing about change for our clients.
Our combination of teamwork, reliance on research based therapy, and an approach that tailors counseling to the individual, helps our clients reach their goals.
