Q&As

I want to make designing with me as easy as possible. Here’s the breakdown:

Step 1 - Get to know each other. I like to start with a free 15 minute chat where we meet each other, discuss general project information, and get an idea of what you’re looking for. This will give us a sense of whether or not I’m a good fit for your project!

Step 2 - Project Consult. This is where I really start to dig into the space, your style, and the needs of the project. I’ll want to see the space (whether virtually or in person). If you’re just looking for a bit of advice, you’ll find it here! If the project has a larger scope, we’ll move on to Step 3.

Step 3 - Design. Based on your space and project needs, I’ll sketch up some layouts and put together a mood board. Once you like the direction, I will assemble a full specification list for everything you need to bring your dream to life!

Step 4 - Visualization. In order to allow for the broad spectrum of understanding that some projects require, my draftsman and I will create a full plan set and renderings of your space. You will be able to take these to your builders or subcontractors, and have a visualization with all necessary dimensions and details. Here you’ll get the first real look at what your dream space will become. (Depending on the scale of the project, this step may not be needed.)

Step 5 - Project Management. If you’d like me to stay involved through the assembly of your design, I’m happy to! I’ll handle communications with your contractor, interfacing with them to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

Step 6 - Enjoy your new space!

Any and all design styles are welcome here! I excel at Farmhouse, Midcentury Modern, and Eclectic Transitional. However, my biggest goal is for you to be happy in your space, regardless of style.

Selecting paint colors. Paint is one of the least permanent finishes in the home, so it often allows the most freedom of expression. Worried about resale, but want to express your silly colorful style? Paint is where it's at. Just paint it again when you move and no one will know!

I have about 5 years of Interior Design experience under my belt. In that time, I've learned a lot about what makes design enjoyable, affordable, and efficient. While I've loved every second of designing for the firms I've worked with, working under my own leadership allows me to bring all my knowledge into one process. Now I can bring you the best I have to offer, resulting in happy spaces and happy faces!

I am happy to work with you remotely. All mood boards and plan sets are already in a digital format, and with the advancement of virtual communication we can create the atmosphere of an in person meeting even if we're across the country! I prefer to use Google Meet for video calls.

If we meet in your home, I will be following CDC protocols of mask wearing and social distancing. I sanitize all samples before and after every meeting. I also offer the majority of my design services remotely.
