I can honestly give Inspire Wellness Five Star rating for performance. Before I retired on May 31, 2017 I weighed in at around 314 pounds! I had suffered with osteoarthritis since around 1990. Both of may knees were replaced in 2007 and my left hip was replaced in 2015. I am going to have surgery on both shoulders in the near future. I knew that I needed to lose a lot of weight and get into better physical condition in order to be able to enjoy my retirement years, so I asked a physical therapist who was doing therapy on my shoulders if he knew any professional nutritionists that might be able to work with me on losing weight. He mentioned that Inspire Wellness in Huntersville offered nutritional services...so I called and scheduled an appointment. I met with the staff at Inspire and explained my problems. Together, we determined that I would probably get the best results by incorporating a ketogenic diet along with some regular physical exercise. I immediately started watching my intake of carbohydrates under their supervision and began cycling on a regular basis for exercise. After a couple of weeks I knew that I had joined the right team. Sarah, Mary Beth, and many others at Inspire became a part of my team. Since then they have been supporting me constantly with emails, text messages, and in depth conversations regarding my progress...what things were working for me and what new things that I might want to try. The results have been amazing. My weight is down to around 225 pounds now and I am in the best physical condition that I have been in over 20 years!!! Rachel helped me recover from plantar fasciitis through exercises and releasing extremely tight calf muscles. I now have about 10 very good exercises that I do regularly to continue to strengthen my feet so I can continue an active lifestyle pain free! Highly recommended!

Working with Rachel for PT and Sarah and Mary Beth for nutrition was a very valuable experience. I have several debilitating conditions including neuropathy in the lower legs and feet which was limiting my balance and mobility. I was also very weak from cancer and simple things like moving into a standing position from a seated position were exhausting. Starting slowly and gently, Rachel was able to help me push the envelope to stronger and more confident movement and worked into an exercise routine that I continue to use to great benefit. With Sarah and Mary Beth, taking a close look at what, when and how much I was eating definitely helped me to do a better job of eating enough and adding more fruits and vegetables which, when I came to Inspire, I was really neglecting in favor of carbs. What a difference! Gradually my palate changed and now I enjoy more of the foods that are good fuel for me.
