Hands down the best B&B I have stayed in. The innkeepers are human beings that create a warm safe environment. They open their inn to veterans each year on Veterans Day cultivating a really nice getaway for veterans and a guest. I can not speak more highly of this B&B. The breakfast is gourmet, and home made with local ingredients. Also love the warm inviting environment. I would not hesitate to recommend this inn to anyone including my own mother ! More...

This B&B is so lovely! Cindy is very warm & welcoming and has thought of everything for this beautiful French style place. The rooms are individually decorated beautifully. The breakfast in the morning is delicious and it is just a short drive to the very hip Downtown Brattleboro. Each room has a welcomjng basket with delicious local treats and there is a room with dvds and popcorn for a cozy movie night after a long day. I higjly recommend! More...

My wife and I stayed in a carriage house room separate from the main house. Very comfortable and clean room with a nice jacuzzi tub and a quiet, romantic gas fireplace. The grounds are beautiful and the main house is very comfortable. Within walking distance of downtown and has hiking trail access around the lake. John and Cindy who run the B&B were great and make their B&B a fantastically hospitable home. We stayed for 5 days/4 nights. Breakfasts are great. More...

We stayed for 2 nights at the Inn on Putney and wished we could stay longer. Â John and Cindy are the perfect hosts and the inn is beautiful. Â The grounds are beautiful, with plenty of spots to sit and enjoy a good book.We were in the Ripley Suite and loved it. Â As you walk in the door, you step into the bedroom with views overlooking the backyard. The bedroom was so cozy and the bed offers an incredible night sleep. Â Walking into the living room, there is a beautiful fireplace, sofa, desk area and a mini frig. Â The bathroom is traditional and offers plenty of space.John's breakfasts are absolutely delicious and a wonderful start to each day. Â We will absolutely go back and you should just go! More...

What a sense pleasure this B & B is. Cindy has exquisite taste in antiques, Â art, collectibles, Â and gifts to take on your journey. We were long-distance travelers from California but what a perfect spot for locals for a special night or aWEDDING. As I snapped pics, I thought that a bridal party would fit perfectly here at the Inn and the guests could converge on the property for a perfect exchange of vows in Vermont. Loved the place...even the piano is in tune for a wedding march, jazz jam, classic, or rock n roll tinkle on the ivories. Â Great Balls of Fire. More...

We loved our weekend getaway! The maple room was quiet, comfortable & spotless! The grounds are beautiful & peaceful. We loved the jacuzzi tub, super soft bedsheets, and hiking trails. The toiletries (loved the citrus body wash & lotion) and local organic snacks & sodas were a nice touch! The breakfast was spectacular! The inkeepers John & Cindy were friendly...there when you needed anything, but not intrusive. We will be back for sure! More...

My husband and I needed a relaxing getaway and this place was perfect. We booked fairly last minute, only a few days in advance. The inn was charming and relaxing (the maple room has a jacuzzi tub- highly recommended!) and located directly on some beautiful walking trails. Most importantly, I have recently been diagnosed with a GI disorder that requires an extremely restricted diet. Eating out can be nearly impossible depending on the restaurant. John and Cindy were beyond accommodating. They made sure I had an absolutely delicious (and safe!) breakfast each morning. I didn't feel like I missed out at all. It was such a blessing and a delight to be taken care of in such an attentive manner! Brattleboro is a charming town as well. We would definitely go back, and would stay here again in a heartbeat! This is a very charming place in a beautiful setting, and just a brief walk to the heart of Brattleboro. John and Cindy welcomed us warmly, offered a great breakfast and, in general, made our brief stay very comfortable. Among the features of this inn is a large and accessible book collection on a vast range of topics. More...

Cindy and john were great! Their B&B is the perfect amount of old fashion with modern updates. I loved soaking into the deep old tub to relax my hectic day away. My husband and I were able to let loose playing pool and various other games in the common area. We definitely are looking forward to visiting again in the warmer weather! I still would love to know where you get those sheets from! They were by far the softest sheets I’ve ever slept on! Can’t wait to come back! Thanks for everything! More...

We recently spent two nights at the inn. The grounds and rooms are beautifully maintained and we enjoyed learning more about the history of the inn and our innkeepers, John and Cindy. Breakfasts are delicious and not to be missed. The French pressed coffee was a nice treat and great flavor! The hot tub was a great way to wind down from visiting the shops just a short walk or ride away. It's a lovely area. More...

John and Cindy are such gracious hosts here at their inn. Check in was easy with lots of information about the Brattleboro area, breakfast and public areas inside the inn. Our room overlooked the garden where the Japanese maple was stunning! The room was spotless with so many amenities. A great night's sleep on Comphy sheets and a wonderful mattress. The best egg Benedicts we've ever had for breakfast along with fresh blueberries and strawberries accented with fresh mint, whipped cream, and a pinch of cinnamon. Great coffees and teas, too. My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary and this is the cutest B&B I have ever stayed at! Rhonda, the Innkeeper, and her staff did everything to make us feel comfortable and welcome. What other B&B have you ever seen that has a pub There were complimentary snacks and drinks in our room and the two course breakfasts with specialty coffee were out of this world. It is a short walk to downtown Brattleboro and there are hiking trails right outside the back door. I would highly recommend Forty Putney Road and plan on returning as soon as we can! More...
