My fiance and I wanted a truly special and memorable destination wedding in the Palm Springs area. We considered several potential locations but KNEW we had found the place when we visited the Indian Wells Golf Resort after first reading about it on Wedding Wire and other top online wedding sites.

The location itself is spectacular - beautiful golf course with exquisite views of the surrounding mountains - but the Wedding Pavilion is the real show stopper. This gleaming white, permanent tent-like structure was the perfect place to host our reception.

We chose to be married on the adjacent lawn and afterward, guests enjoyed cocktails and hors d'oeuvres on the Pavilion terrace. Numerous guests commented on the servers and the quality of service at the cocktail hour as well as inside at the reception. The space is grand and dramatic inside and lends itself to any decor. One entire side is a wall of floor to ceiling windows that open out to the terrace and golf course. There is also a large, comfortably and thoughtfully decorated bridal suite attached to the Pavilion that made getting ready and accommodating my family and bridal party a breeze.

Event Coordinator, Sharon Clark, made it effortless to plan my dream wedding there and couldn't have been more knowledgeable, helpful or responsive. Catering Manager, Harry Reuter, was also a true pleasure to work with and saw to our every food and beverage need - including making sure that the champagne, both inside the bridal suite and at the reception - was kept ice cold! The food was excellent and reasonable and our guests were so well taken care of by the staff. Valet parking is free and a fleet of golf carts shuttle guests across the bridge to the Pavilion and back again so older guests and those in high heels have a minimum of walking to do to get to the event or to return to their cars.

Many of the posh Palm Springs-area hotels charge almost 2 to 3 times as much for a reception. We found that the Indian Wells Golf Resort was not only a magnificent location, but also an excellent value. And, their chef, Nestor Ruiz, has worked at some of the top restaurants and steak houses in Southern California - and it shows!

Oh, and the venue has absolutely gorgeous locations for photography! Our photographer was taken around the property before the wedding by Event co-coordinator, Leslie Graham, to scout out locations for our photos in advance. After the wedding, Leslie zipped us around in her golf cart to each location, helping us make the most of the daylight still remaining and keeping us fresh and rested in between shots. She had cold water for us along the way which was very thoughtful and kept us cool and hydrated!

All in all, our wedding day was magnificent and effortless from start to finish and we cannot recommend the Indian Wells Golf Resort highly enough to future brides and grooms! More...

Very much enjoyed playing the celebrity course yesterday.  Beautiful visuals and enough of a challenge to be tested.  We did have a problem with one of the marshalls who was way out of line.

I cannot say enough Amazing things about my daughter's wedding at Indian Wells Golf Resort Oct 27/19. It was just The Best Venue and we are so happy with our memories of the fairytale evening! Sharon, the Event Manager was just so professional and warm and so lovely to deal with over the months of planning. She is such a great communicator and made everything so easy, love her taste and suggestions and she right up to the end was there on site for us making sure all was going as planned. .Harry and Scott also were terrific and really went out of their way to make sure the whole evening and the food and drinks were perfection-- and they were. We have had so many comments and thank you notes from guests and most of them make note of the best venue and delicious and amazing food and drinks. IWGR was an amazing venue to work with for our wedding! Sharon was great to work with and super helpful throughout the entire planning process. She made sure everything went as smooth as possible from the beginning stages of planning up until checking in to make sure our day was everything we had hoped it to be. The staff at IWGR was wonderful to work with as well. The food and service was better than we could have hoped for and we would highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a venue with true California vibes (palm trees, mountains, and grass…what more could you ask for!?). Celebrity Course.June 2019 - 06:10am tee time.It was our mission to make it back to Indian Wells Golf Resort for the Celebrity Course and I'm glad we didn't wait too long to make our return. It's been nearly a year since we were in the area, grinding out the Player's Course. Now it was time for the Celebrity Course.We were familiarized with the checking in part since we've been there before. The only difference was the driving range was now located upstairs and not down below in the channel. The starter advised us to cross the bridge and look for the second left which lead us to tee box #1 for the Celebrity Course. I really regret not writing down the name of the starter. He was a cheery dude who gave us plenty of tips before we teed off. Again, exceptionally warm and friendly staff. Can't ask for more.Celebrity is the newer course of the two. It's shorter in overall distance but don't let the length deceive its difficulty. The fairways are narrower on this track. There's less room for tee box errant shots. Around tee box 9-11/12, if you fire it down the channel and decide to go down there to retrieve the ball, know that it will be a pain trying to come back up. The starter told us, "10 second to get down but 15 minutes to come up and no carts are allowed down there." Yeah, we took his word and didn't bother trying to go down there to retrieve any golf balls. I found myself playing shorter but strategically placing shots for the follow-up shots. Numerous times, the big stick never came out the bag but rather the 3 wood was good enough. We teed off the blues (second longest). There are a total of 6 different tee boxes you can choose from. Also, just like the Player's Course, the GPS in the golf carts are spot on. We verified distances with our range finders and the yardage were almost aligned.The Celebrity Course felt a little more picturesque at times. Lovely landscapes and postcard worthy back drops. The greens were running smooth and the overall golf course was in pristine condition. What I like about both Players and Celebrity Courses is that even though they run on the same property, they play and feel quite different from one another. I would highly recommend playing and experiencing both if can! Plus, it's really convenient if you're staying at the Hyatt or the Renaissance that are adjoined to this golf course. More...

This was our favorite venue of all we looked at and Sharon Clark, Leslie Graham, Lisa and the whole team was absolutely amazing! They were so helpful and loving! We felt so special every time we were there and loved every experience with them. They all show their love for their jobs and we couldn’t be more thrilled with our decision. Came here with my kids for the "shots in the dark" event. Check in was a breeze, they walked us right down to our own putting green and were super friendly while explaining all of the different games we could play. We rented out that space for 1 hour for $40 for the 4 of us. It is all lit up at night and everything is glowing and you play mini golf games to a dj spinning great music. They also have a food truck with a full bar and server comes by to take your order. Our server made us a custom drink in a souvenir cup that glowed and lit up it was really cool and festive. The highlight of our wedding planning was finding IWGR. The event coordinator Sharon could not have been more helpful and on top of everything from the moment we discovered the location. We had a relatively short engagement (6 months) and so efficiency and flexibility was highly important to us and IWGR provided that from the get-go.The wedding day was incredible and seamless with all the vendors arriving to set up. Everyone we dealt with that day was accommodating and helpful. The wait staff was extremely fast in getting the food out during dinner which made the guests very happy. And everyone LOVED the food - it was truly delicious.The only downside to the location is that you are not allowed to bring in any outside food, which meant we had to order lunch for the bridal suite from their menu, which was all fairly expensive. All in all though, it did make it easier that morning and the venue made sure to take good care of myself and the groom throughout the night - serving us champagne/appetizers in the bridal suite and packaging up some of our cake to go.Sharon made the whole experience easy and fun. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, beautifully classic desert location, you cannot beat Indian Wells Golf Resort. More...

IWRG was a good venue and an amazing setting. The banquet staff were great. The meal was very nice. Sharon was very responsive through everything. We had a great day and have some amazing photos to go with our memories. Really only 2 'complaints': 1. a coordinator is mandatory, which feels like a waste of money when you have the venue also providing the catering, tables/chairs, table settings, and dost of the day of coordination, 2. you can't bring in outside food/drink in the bridal suite during the day.
