Thank you so much to Indian Trail Dog Training for getting our dog, Copper, well adjusted to our home!! When we first got him, he didn't like his crate at all and had separation anxiety. Cheryl with Indian Trail Dog Training was instrumental in helping us as new dog parents help Copper work through his issues. Total lifesaver!! We were so happy that we decided to have Cheryl work with Copper on basic obedience training. Copper has come such a long way in his sessions. He has now learned all the basic commands and will only improve over time with more training and reinforcement. We, as dog parents, are now armed with the knowledge to correctly train our own dog, which is so valuable for long term success! Huge shout out to Indian Trail Dog Training "Cheryl"! My @ the time of 1st training 7 month old Australian Shepherd had some behavioral issues and wasn't always playing nicely with my older dogs. I in tears thought that I was going to have to place him in another home �. This is where Cheryl steps in, she worked with me and my Aussie "Jagger" on both of our behavior issues. I learned that it wasn't just Jagger but the way I responded too. She taught not only Jagger but me on how to work with the issues at hand. I was considered a student as well. I listen and stayed consistent with what she taught us each session! I am very proud to say because of Cheryl, Jagger is an extremely obedient dog that offers lots of love, he enjoyed the sessions just as much as I did!Jagger is now 9 1/2 months and listens to all commands! Cheryl is absolutely amazing!!! She customized the training to exactly what we needed. She has not only addressed everything we have asked her to, she has also come up with additional training ideas that will allow him to start doing fun tricks. My husband and I look forward to the sessions and I can tell my dog enjoys it too - he loves Cheryl and instantly sits at her side as soon as she arrives. Today is graduation day for our 1-year-old rescue pup, Penny, and what a great time we had with Cheryl as our trainer! She is patient and gentle, and both our dogs love her (and always look forward to getting a tidbit from her treat pouch)! Although we've had many dogs over our lifetime and had tried other training methods, we didn't know much about clicker training. When Cheryl explained it, it made so much sense, and the click-and-reward system has certain worked well for Penny. We are also using what we've learned to polish up our older dog's training. (Actually, I think it's we HUMANS who got the most training!) As others have mentioned, Cheryl tailors the sessions to what your dog most needs, adding reinforcement each week while teaching new skills. We feel much more confident now about continuing Penny's responsiveness with regular practice so she can be her very best. So glad a friend told us about Cheryl! Highly recommended! More...

After several telephone conversations with Cheryl, I was convinced that she truly cared about the dogs that she trained. Her prices seemed to be so much cheaper than others I had inquired about and it was important to her that I be involved in the training. I have a very energetic but eager to learn 6 month old Golden Retriever. With her help, Jake is now able to sit, stay, place, leave it, come and walk on a leash with distractions.
