Finding Kathryn and In Us They Trust was the best thing that has happened for Charlie (lab/pointer mix). Charlie had another dog aggressively go after him as an 8 month old puppy in front of our home as we were returning from a walk.
Unfortunately he has become very fear aggressive and protective. This behavior has worsened over time and I cannot have visitors unless Charlie knew them before the event. I didn’t know what to do since I have never experienced this behavior with my other dogs through the years. I finally researched behaviorists and decided to reach out to Kathryn based on the reviews, her experience and her obvious love of dogs and her desire to help them and their owners.
Our first visit was so positive, I was in awe of her ability to gain Charlie’s trust within a few moments. This was also MY training! The first thing she did was reassure me that I was not the problem like other folks have said, but rather encouraged me to be more confident in my ability to work with Charlie. She teaches and guides you to help your pup adjust and deal with frightening situations with calmness and love. Charlie is very food driven so we have used that to our benefit-trust me, this has really worked! We have training exercises that we practice every day multiple times a day under Kathryn’s guidance. If you have any questions or concerns she will help you through it even if it’s not during a training session. She offers suggestions on good training “toys” and methods to help control your unique situation. Charlie has become less reactive to dogs on leashes and barking dogs in the neighborhood. We are still a work in progress but I can see such a difference in his behavior. Charlie and I are so much more confident and WE are becoming calmer and less afraid. If you and your canine friend are in need of some love and positive reinforcement, In Us They Trust should be first on your list to contact. If you are willing to put Kathryn’s training plan into your lives, you won’t be disappointed. Charlie and I are much happier since we found Kathryn.

We are so thankful to have found Kathryn! Our anxious pup loves her. Just being in her presence puts him (and us) more at ease and ready to learn. For years, our dog would have full blown meltdowns while passing one of his triggers and no training we were doing seemed to help. Kathryn has been wonderful with our new puppy, Quinn. We saw definite improvement from our first visit with her. It was hard to believe it was the same puppy we know and love when Kathryn walked in and started training her. Quinn calmed down almost immediately, stopped bothering our older dogs and listened to commands. Kathryn is very calm and confident which all three of our dogs respond to happily. The are all excited when she visits. She also takes the time to explain why she is doing what she is doing and psychology of why the dogs will respond to it, which they all do quickly. I don't even know where to begin with Kathryn. She is AMAZING. She has helped our 3 year old rescue pup in several ways. He is a very anxious pup overall. My sister has epilepsy and he is very excitable and anxious when she has seizures and it was causing more stress in the household. Kathryn was able to immediately asses the situation and understand what the dog and owners were feeling and took the appropriate steps to work on resolving the issue. We also call Kathryn, the Dog Whisperer, and she gives Cesar Milan, a run for the money! We had owned our two lab puppies for about six weeks of chaos and mayhem, when Kathryn came and rescued us from everything that we were doing wrong. We were able to train multiple times a week in the beginning and then tapered to weekly for the first eight months that we had the puppies. Had she not returned to the Philadelphia area, we would still incorporate her into our lives weekly. She is worth every penny that we spent on her services! Kathryn is awesome. There is not enough stars to say how great she is. She is what I call the "Dog Whisperer". I have two Rhodesian Ridgebacks. My older ridgeback has OCD, Anxiety Disorder and Separation Anxiety and they both counter surf. I couldn't even walk out of my house without my older RR howling and teaching the younger one all his bad behavior. My RR hardly ever wagged his tail, ran and if I had company over, I couldn't hear because he barked continuously. Within a week Kathryn diagnosed his problem and started outdoor mat work. She has a certain way about her that dogs just listen and do what she wants. She explains everything that she does and explains why my dogs act out and how we can stop their behavior from continuing. I have noticed a big difference with my dog within a few weeks. My RR, not only starts playing with my other dog, but initiates the playing, is happy with tail wagging. Kathryn is the BEST TRAINER I ever had. She never uses anything that can potentially hurt my dogs while training like other trainers I had in the past. Kathryn worked with my German Shepherd puppy for several months, and it was the best thing I could've done for my dog! My dog was a very hyper dog and very reactive towards other dogs.
