I didn't think I would be impressed by a magic show, let alone a magic show in Reno, but I am happy to say I was.  The shop is tucked away in a weird space that's hard to find, but its really tastefully done and really fun on the inside. Its built for small groups which makes it intimate and entertaining because almost everyone (literally everyone except for me I think) got to participate in the show.  While they were all remembering their cards, I was watching both of Justin's hands like a hawk expecting to see a clever switch somewhere.  I never caught anything.  I genuinely have no idea how he managed to pull off some of his tricks. The only thing I could think is that everyone else in the entire room was a fake person and I was on the Truman show? Well done.  Also, both he and his fiancée are fun to look at. Very important information! More...

I had my daughter's sixth birthday at Justin Impossible's Magic Shop and Theater, and to be honest I have no idea how I will ever out do it next year. The party was amazing, so much fun!The magic shop is so whimsical! From the outside it just looks like another office building, but (like magic), once you go in you realize it's very large with many rooms and incredibly cool. Not only do they have the shop itself, but also a large theater where the shows are performed for the kids, a fun room with an old school pin ball machine, and even a room for gifts which is lit up in a magical way. Even the bathroom is cool, paint it all black and white. They have bunnies, doves and even a tarantula. The party itself required little planning on my part, because the place already comes decorated and with entertainment. Mainly, you have to figure out the food and drink, which does not come with the package. You have to pay a $25 fee to have food at the party, but it's worth it. I chose to have little popcorn boxes and a variety of snacks to fill them with, so the kids could snack on them while they watch the show like in a movie theater. If anyone else is planning a party and wants to do something similar, make sure the boxes you order aren't too large. The little ones will fill them up and if they are large they will be heavy and hard to carry. Amazon has cute red striped ones that match the theater, get the smaller ones. There are two large tables in the back of the theater for your food. The show itself is very entertaining. They use the kids in the show, which is really fun. Since my daughter was the birthday girl she got to help during a few parts, which she really loved. She adored Justin, as he's very good with children and can handle them even if they haggle and call out during the show (I was impressed by this since we had a room of sassy six year old girls). Justin Impossible and Debbie Daring both performed magic at our show, which was very impressive. It was fun to see them interact. The show was also very humorous and entertaining for adults. Justin is hilarious and due to his ability to improvise with the little ones I was able to watch him with ease and confidence and just enjoy the show. Even when one of the little guests tried to run up on stage to expose a trick, which he turned into part of the trick and made hilarious when it could have been bad. When you rent the place out, you get the entire place to yourself. I really like this, seen as in previous years we've had to contain our party to a table within and establishment that's hosting other parties. It comes with two magicians and also someone to work in the magic shop. That person also performs tricks before the show starts to entertain guests. Also, for a separate fee, you can buy magic goody bags for the guests. The magician will show the kids how to use their new tricks, which is a fun party gift. You are not allowed to bring in outside party gift bags. This was kind of a bummer, before because I found a lot of affordable magic items on Amazon, but learning to use the tricks in the goody bags was fun for the kids and adults. If I was going to do one thing differently I would have more time there. With the regular package you get a little time before the show to get snacks and a little time after for cake, but no time to open presents. It felt a little rushed to get all the kids out when the show ended, because they all wanted to hang out together for a while. You can rent the place for $50 an hour, or pick a second destination for everyone to get together and meet (which I should've done). I also would have invited even more people. Usually you are charged by the kids and goodie hand outs come in packs of 12, so you either invite 12 or 24 kids...but the theater seats 60 plus standing room, and it cost the same regardless of the amount of guests who come. You only pay for goodie bags based on the number of guests that show up. I kept our party smaller, because I didn't know if I could provide enough food, but it would've been even more fun with a packed theater and with smaller popcorn boxes it would have been fine.Overall, The magic theme was really fun. I really liked how the show brought my daughter and her classmates together when that were all onstage. I also really really enjoyed the magic. Totally mind blowing. Thanks Justin and Debbie for the amazing party! More...

We had a children's birthday party with Justin and his amazing crew.  The children were between 7 and 12 years old.  It was perfect with the right about of silly jokes and other more "serious" tricks.  You do have to pay in cash or by check, so be ready for that unless we can convince Justin to take cards and add a small fee (worth it Justin! - just sayin').  We did the "middle level" party which as a good pace.  Also, what I liked is you are not as limited on the number of kids, so, we had friends invite siblings to fill up the room.  There is a cleaning fee if you bring food, and I must say, I think that they earn this too since I saw the popcorn on the floor and I would've been cleaning that up! I haven't been to a magic show for a few years.... and my roommate invited me to go. Now I have to admit I am not a ooh ahh girl but I was impressed. The venue isn't large but you could take a group and be comfortable. Totally kid friendly and yet a lot of humor for the adults. Justine had an 8 year old heckler in the audience and was able to handle the kid and make him a believer with out any hurt feelings. He and Jacque could teach a room full of sugared up 10 year olds with no problem. Lots of great tricks that I have to admit there was no way they could have done it. I guess that's magic! As a board director for the Nevada State Apartment Association, part of my involvement includes helping to organize an annual Apartment industry awards event for the Northern Nevada apartment industry.  The theme of the event this year was "Magic Under the Stars".  Naturally we wanted to have a magician at the event to entertain prior to the award ceremony.  I had seen and met Justin at networking events.  Later I was able to attend a show he did at his magic shop along with some other great magicians including a young magician named Ace. That show was wonderful so we decided that we would talk to him about providing entertainment at our event. We spoke with Justin about several options with different magic show options, shorter and longer times to cover, roaming magic, a stage show etc.  we eventually settled on an hour of roaming magic tricks during our cocktail hour along with a 15 minute magic show to transition us into the seating and award portion of our event. There were a few options that he was able to customize for our budget.Justin wasn't going to be available the night of our event and I had been very impressed with Ace at the show I was able to see at the magic shop so we requested that he appear instead. As with many events we had some slight changes in our scheduling and some things ran slightly behind to get everyone into their seats.  Even though I know Ace had other plans for the later in the evening he very graciously offered to accommodate us and stay a little longer. He didn't seem like he was in a hurry to get out of there and was very helpful. He also asked if there were any guests that we would like him to focus on as far as bringing them onstage for magic tricks. We did have two young ladies that we had wanted to pay special attention to that evening even before they offered this option. This solved that challenge perfectly for us.  Ace walked around the cocktail hour performing tricks in small groups with people who were drinking cocktails, providing great entertainment while people arrived and were networking. He then went in front of the group and performed a short 15 minute magic show that included our two chosen focus guests. The attendees that I spoke to were all very impressed with Ace, his roaming magic tricks and magic show. It was a fun addition to our event. I'm very happy with our choice to add this extra touch.Overall I would highly recommend Justin, Ace or anyone on the team to provide wonderful entertainment at your next party or event.  They were easy to work with and Justin got back to us quickly with all of our questions and was very easy to work with setting the event up More...

Justin is the embodiment of entertainment.  When my husband and I were at the Tamarack Junction, he joined us tableside to provide some magical delights as we enjoyed our dinner.  He was funny, charismatic, polite, and professional, but most of all, his tricks were absolutely wonderful!  He performed magic tricks for multiple dinner patrons prior to his show, and we were already hooked.  After dinner we attended Justin's show, and it was fantastic.  He also wrote a wonderful children's book on magic that is for sale at the show. There were many kids in the room and they were mesmerized, as were the adults!  Justin is amazing with kids and adults alike.  He engages personally with his audience, and his tricks are great!  I've been to a number of magic shows and am always looking for the behind-the-scenes tricks of the trade, but he truly stumped me and awed the crowd.  I would highly recommend Justin's show to anyone-- whether it's a family fun night or a date night, you're in for a treat! For many people, a magic show is a set of big boxes on a stage with a magician making gestures while scantily-clad women get magically dismembered. These shows are great, even for people in the back row.Justin's FREE shows at Tamarack Junction take place in a cozy venue where you are literally within touching distance of the magic. As close as you will be, you can choose to suspend disbelief and allow yourself to get caught up in the magic or you can choose to be a skeptic. Either way, you are in good hands. The venue is setup in such a way the typical formality of a stage show falls to the wayside and you are not so much watching a show, but taking part in a gathering of Justin and some friends. There are two show options: the early one is billed as a family-friendly show and the second one being a more adult show. In reality, the adult show can be best described as PG-13. There is nothing to hide your children from in the second show, but the themes are definitely more "grown-up."A variety of magic awaits, but there are significant highlights. First is a fantastic memory demonstration which includes a story of Justin's childhood, family, and inevitability of aging. The second involves childhood thoughts being plucked out of the mind and displayed to the audience in an impossible manner.I have seen the show multiple times and it may appear the show is not especially well-oiled, but the informal nature of the venue makes this a strength. In a sense, the audience guides where the magic will go.Take a half-hour of your life and spend it watching one of Justin's shows. You will experience magic in a way you've only ever seen on television. More...

Hi, my name is Natasha. I'm a 3rd grader at Lenz Elementary. My first lesson with Justin was amazing. He taught me the dollar bill trick. He helped me so much. He also came to my school for reading week and did a show. He made me want to do magic even more than before . He is a nice, caring, funny guy and helpful. But one of his tricks was crazy. The dollar well. It was impossible.  After the show he gave every one a card that has all the cards he told you a trick. He said go home and do this trick on your parents. The trick is you go home tell your parents think of any card if this is your card that would be so amazing that you have to buy me ice cream. So you ask your parents what there card is and find it on the card with all your cards and find there card. Then it's there card so they owe you ice cream. It worked on my dad. Now I can do the dollar bill trick. Because when you learn with Justin you can almost do anything. The other day I went to a restaurant I made a waiter freak out when I was practicing the 1m dollar bill trick.
