We hired Vick for our wedding reception! I was thinking of a simple way to entertain older folks, young children, and everyone in-between -- he was the answer! Vick had a wonderful story line and great tricks that kept everyone's attention! We had some guests that are very skeptical of magic tricks, and he still blew them away! I'm so happy we had him!We ended up starting his show a little late, unfortunately, but he was incredibly patient, set-up, and mingled with a few guests while he waited! He then put on a 45-50 minute show for all of us, and included some guests, my father, and us in the show! Professor Snape appeared at my three daughters’ birthday party. He was extremely professional and easy to work with. Professor Snape appeared for my daughter's 7th birthday. He stayed in character, and interacted with the kids while he was setting up and tearing down. The show was breathtaking. When he started his act only the kids were paying attention, but didn't take long for every parent there to fall under his spell too.

Vick was very professional, very easy to work with, and I can not reccomend him enough. Six months later, when I run into parents who had brought their kids to the party they still talk about it. (I've gotten a few complaints from them that they'll never be able to throw a birthday party as amazing as that one).

He left quite an impression on my daughter, and she frequently talks about Professor Snape. More...

Vick did his Proffessor Snape show for us. He was very professional and easy to work with leading up to the event (Daughter's 7th birthday Hogwarts themed). On the day-of he showed up right on time, and was engaging with the kids while setting up. When the show started the 30 kids were entranced. I've never seen that many kids sit so still for so long (except when they were trying to get picked as the helper for the next spell). He rolled with questions and comments from the children, and his answers were funny and in character. The magic was fantastic. After the party I had so many people ask where I had found "Snape", and told me it was the best kids' party they had ever been to. I had several parents complain that they would never be able to throw a party that was half as entertaining. I'm continuing getting text messages from parents about how their kids are still talking about it. He made the party; I can't reccomend him enough. More...

Vick was a pleasure to work with leading up to the our event. He answered emails quickly and thoroughly and was incredibly helpful. He was encouraging of my ideas and tailored his performance to make it fit well with our company and event. On the day of the show he arrived early and felt like an old friend. Vick just performed as Professor Snape (from the Harry Potter books) at my daughter's 9th birthday party and it was absolutely wonderful!  It was a 45 minute magic act and he included both my daughters (the birthday girl and my younger daughter) into his performance.  This was a very nice touch.  The best part was that even though he played Snape perfectly, he was able to capture everyone's attention (not just the Harry Potter fans).  We had a very mixed crowd that included kids and adults, some were avid Harry Potter fans and others didn't know one thing about the books or movies.  After the party was over, everyone commented how great Vick was and complimented me on finding him.  I would highly recommend him! I hired Illusions by Vick for my husband's 50th Birthday Party and he was amazing! My husband loves magic and he said Vick was the best live magic show he has ever seen. When Vick walked in our door we knew he was the real deal, great outfit, style and personality. The show itself was a lot of fun and interactive. It wasn't your run of the mill tricks. Illusions By Vick performed at our Cub Scout banquet this year and it was a huge success. This particular event had about 30+ Cub Scout boys, ages 6-11, plus about 20+ siblings, ages 2-14, and their parents. He had the kids (and adults) mystified from the moment he walked in the door. When he began his performance it was amazing to me to watch the kids inch closer and closer to the front - and as the show progressed the crowd seemed to get bigger and bigger as the older kids and adults found their way into the audience. His attention to individual children was amazing - making so many boys and girls feel like special participants in his act. My own daughter ended up with a rose from Vick - which she still has, dried and in a special box. My son came home telling me that he wants to be a magician when he grows up. High praise. There is no question that I would use Illusions By Vick again and recommend him to anyone who is looking for a dynamic entertainer for their event. More...

We booked Vick as the entertainer for our daughter's 8th birthday party, and we were excited and pleased by his performance.  He offers a variety of packages, and for our party, Vick took on the persona of Professor Snape (from the Harry Potter books) during a 45 minute magic act.Vick will adjust his performance to meet your preference based on the age and interest of the audience.  He can vary the intensity of Snape's nastiness.  Given the members of our party, Snape was mildly irritated by the non-Slytherins, but not scary.  The magic was captivating and held the interest of both adults and children.Vick's communication during the booking process was excellent and the payment process was clear and easy.  Out of character, he is easy-going, friendly with guests, and always professional.An easy recommendation! From our observations Illusions by Vick is a most amazing magical entertainer. More than the obvious skill level exhibited while handling the effects. Vick shows excellent performance skills (usually reserved for an actor and rarely seen in a magician) which strongly contribute to the feeling that something special and magical is going on around you and you are part to it, invited to peer into a most unusual and magical world

This and Vick’s warm personality create a special connection and brings the audience into the evening’s magical world.

A huge “wow” for what is happening on stage visually; an even bigger “WOW” for the stories and feeling that create the magic in the show and Illusions by Vick.

Vick is a unique personality in entertainers. You are drawn toward Vick as he enters the stage, starts speaking and engaging the audience. After a show Vick makes time to speak and share his love of the art and of magic with guests (on many different levels). It’s obvious (and heart touching) to see that Vick really loves what he does. This is evidenced in how much of himself goes into the show, how much he is willing to give and how genuine he is. How many magicians can you saw that about?
