I cannot say enough great things about our girls' night dinner at Illios Noche! The ambiance is great - casual and comfortable yet beautiful inside. Our waitress, Jodi (or Yodi maybe?) absolutely made our experience - she was so friendly, attentive and helpful with providing suggestions for food and wine. We started with the eggplant & zucchini chips, and Y'ALL, these are something I didn't know I needed in my life. Think of a super thin, fresher version of fried pickles but less acidic and dipped in the most flavorful tzatziki sauce. Also the portion was super generous and great for splitting. They were perfection. And they brought everything out so quickly and frequently came by to fill up our waters - we were all very impressed by the service! Entree-wise, my friends got the pasta dish with chicken (I tried it and was blown away - that pasta definitely looked and tasted homemade) and the chicken caprese panini (I didn't try it but it looked awesome), and I went with the lamb souvlaki skewers with a side of Parmesan risotto (the lamb was incredibly juicy and flavorful + it came with warm pita and more delicious tzatziki, and the risotto was delicious, if not maybe just a tad too rich/creamy to eat a lot of). Today I went to Ilios Noche for the first time for lunch. Highly recommend! The service was excellent. Tripp who is the bar manager served us and was pleasant, attentive and made us feel like we were his only patrons. The restaurant was clean, beautifully decorated and loved the look of the outside dining and bar. The food was incredible, best chicken and lemon soup I have ever eaten. Big fan. Everything had so much flavor! Some stand out dishes include the saganaki appetizer, zucchini chips, capellini and lamb. They do lamb *very* well. As for everywhere in Charlotte, the prices are a little high. I wish the saganaki was a little larger of a portion for the money. 4 of us shared the appetizer and it was a small 1-2 bites each. The tzatziki sauce was incredibly fresh. I loved my capellini with the scallops. We had reservations and so glad we did because this place was totally packed on a Friday night. Love the restaurant but not the location at Stone Crest. The Lemon soup is made with rotisserie chicken and minimum rice and no fresh lemon. The Chicken sandwich was horrible - big uneven pieces of chicken that were charred and the pita bread is as big as a manhole cover. It's been years since I've been here, so when some friends said it was their go to place and invited us, I was excited to go. We were not disappointed. It was a very busy night but the service was great. Everyone was happy with their salads and entrees. It's not an inexpensive place but it's cozy, great food and good service so a good value. Came to celebrate my dad's birthday and really enjoyed the great service and yummy food. We ordered two apps - grilled octopus so yummy with the pickled red onions AND dolmades were well sauced. We also wanted to try the roasted ribs and the striped sea bass. The bass is definitely shareable. The server even asked if we wanted the head and tail attached, and because we are used to it because all the flavor is there, we requested to keep them attached. Can't waste all that yum. We really enjoyed the meal and my dad was able to enjoy a baklava sundae for his birthday. The auntie who came to our table to check in and have fun banter was also amazing. What a great find and surprise with this gem! My pleasant experience began with an amazing dirty martini with stuffed bleu cheese olives. The bartender made it perfectly and had no issue serving it in a bourbon glass vice the typical stem glass. Another Greek restaurant! Plus, their menu includes Italian cuisine as well. The waitress was amazing. She provided great service and was patient since this was my first visit and unsure which direction I wanted to go for dinner. Started with their mozzarella cheese and tomato salad appetizer then a salad with fresh ingredients. The ambiance is good, low lighting, and cozy booths create a great date night atmosphere. Phenomenal lamb burger with the best seasonings and tender meat!! I love their lamb burger and the Greek potato wedges for the side. We went there for Dinner and were bombarded by Antisemitic commentary from the table behind us. We were called names and threatened. The manager did NOTHING!!! and his response was " I am in the middle, I did not hear it myself" He allowed us to be belittled by another customer who was loud with a filthy mouth besides his antisemitic remarks which were utterly appalling. I've been here a couple times and have had great experience both times! The zucchini chips and dip sampler are amazing appetizers and great for a group. I've gotten the fig pizza (which was average) and one of their pastas (very good). All of the food is well seasoned. I believe they do half off cocktails on Wednesday. Came into the restaurant and they immediately tried to seat me at a table in front of bus station. Order appetizer of Grilled octopus and lamb skewer. The octopus was cold by the time it got to the table and the lamb was so tough, it was difficult to chew. Ordered the striped bass for dinner, it was tasteless. Suggest chef watching Chopped or Beat Bobby Flay to learn how to season food. Maybe even suggest going to Greentown in Detroit to see how Greek food should be cooked. We had been to Ilios Noche once before, had a good meal and thought we should try it out again. Brought my FIL this time. We had the saganaki and grilled octopus for apps . They were both very good. Would definitely get again. I got the Greek pork ribs and my wife and FIL got the lamb shank. We argued about which meat was best, they were both very good. The accompaniments were excellent as well. The service was friendly and fast but the food it a bit over priced and not too great . I order the rib with fries and coleslaw and the pork rib were very dry not seasoned well but the fries were very tasty . It was kind of a waste of money $30 . Should have gotten the lamb burger. Well, my wife and I have been wary at ilia's Noche since it opened. I was in the mode to try something new. Spinach Pie, Lamb Burger, meatballs, country salad, all good stuff. Then I saw Piemonte - prosciutto, greek sausage, pepperoni, roasted tomatoes, gorgonzola cheese on the menu. I was thinking this will be interesting. Well, it was definitely interesting. The pie was cooked to perfection! I mentioned to my wife several times this is different. She tasted it as well and agreed it was different. I like blue cheese and have eaten it plan before. The Gorgonzola goes just to the edge. After finishing the pie, I said to my wife it was good but do not know if I would get it again. 1 day later I kid you not, I am craving that pie. This place is SO good. Never had a bad experience. The food is amazing, the drinks are delicious, and the service is attentive and spot on. We always order the grilled octopus with pickled red onions and the calamari. Cannot recommend those two appetizers enough! As far as drinks go, we love the bourbon drink with fig reduction (Bulleit Proof) but they're all fantastic. As far as entrees go, we always share a flatbread (fig or Piemonte) and the Sea Scallops with Risotto. Other favorites are the Lamb Burger, Zucchini chips, & seasonal pasta. when dining at ilios noche for our anniversary we didn't have the best experience. The food was great but service was severely lacking. our waiter let us sit there for 25 minutes after we had finished eating with no drinks or water. we tried to get his attention and was ignored and passed by. Very good food but the service was not good. We finished and got the dessert menu but couldn't order because our server didn't come back to us for 25 minutes he passed us and checked on tables right next to us and kept ignoring us. We tried to get his attention but couldn't. Then when we went up to the bar to ask someone to send him to the table we didn't want anything else but to get out of that place as fast as we could. Had a terrible experience with the management here. Made reservations for Mother's Day, and one of us ended up with Covid the day of. The staff managed to charge us $175 for cancelling our reservation. Unbelievably bad look for this business, and I would not recommend taking your family here any time soon just in case your plans may change the day of. I have zero respect for the manager Jose who could have easily corrected this but refused to due to an infuriating lack of empathy and managerial competence. More...

If you've read one of my reviews before, you know hubby & I are total foodies, always on the search for a good meal. Ok - a great meal. THIS was a great meal. We like to have a midweek date night to avoid the weekend crazy so we decided to try Ilios Noche. We weren't playing. We had: the best mojitos we've had since a trip to Puerto Rico, the zuch and eggplant chips, dolma, grilled octopus that was......sublime. Tender, beautifully seasoned and the best we've ever had. Ever. Hubby got the braised lamb with shallot risotto, i had the lamb suvlaki and brussel sprouts. We shared the lemon greek yogurt cheesecake with mango sorbet and capuccinos. I told you: we weren't playing. We eat out pretty often, always searching for food that is better or at least as good as our cooking. We are frequently disappointed. Not tonight. Every item was delicious. We started with apps to see how that went and by the time we'd finished our entrees, we knew that if the desserts were made in house, we were having one. THIS is the type of food we chase. The atmosphere is lovely. We want to go back for a drink & apps at the bar. I used to love Ilios but the food has been bad recently. I thought once was a fluke but it was even worse the last two times. So I'm done with them. The Lamb Youvetsi (once there best enter) was terrible. The lamb was so dried out I thought it was intentional. The orzo was way overcooked and the once subtle Mizithra cheese was excessive, had an odd taste (wrong cheese?) and combined with the overdone orzo into a kind of gooey Mac and cheese.
