I'm writing this as our once hyper, manner less, and wild puppy is in a down at my feet, calmly relaxing with us! We looked into a few options for Board and Train in Reno and decided to book with Bailey. It was apparent when we met her that she was passionate about her business, super knowledgeable and very professional. We initially had concerns about leaving Cash for 21 days in a new, structured environment and concerns about using an e-coller. Bailey reassured us that Cash's fun loving personality would not change after and she was right. She answered all of our questions when we called and we LOVED seeing the videos of his progress and all the updates she posted not only about Cash but all the great training tips. After 21 days, Cash is still the fun loving puppy he was when he left however, he now listens when told to do something and we can take walks without him flipping out of the leash. The time, energy and love Bailey put into Cash is obvious and she has created a calm and fun relationship for us with Cash. Our goal is to have a polite dog we can take anywhere, we feel like Bailey has given us the tools to continue our training ;and are confident we will have the ability to do this. Faith returned home yesterday from her 21 day board & train at Ideal Canine in Reno and our only regret is not taking her sooner. -We can now reach for a leash or our car keys without a major frenzy ensuing. -She will now heel without even being on a leash. -Today I took her for a run & instead of the 1st mile being a dead sprint with her pulling me she stayed in a steady "heel" the entire run. -She immediately lays down & relaxes during car rides instead of frantically circling & barking with anticipation -Today she laid down at the vet & relaxed & even rolled over for a belly rub twice instead of frantically pacing & whining the whole time. -At home we can enjoy peace & quiet again without the constant interruption of barking at EVERY little noise. -Someone can talk to us at our car window & approach our vehicle now without her losing it barking incessantly at them in protective mode -Instead of pacing in circles, LOTS of circles with anxious energy all the time she has learned how to "relax" in her "place" In addition to all the training, Bailey would post tons of videos and pictures of Faith showing the things they were working on throughout the 3 weeks which made being away from her easier. The list goes on and on and this is just day 2 of having her back home. She will only continue to get better at all of her new skills and it is all possible because of Bailey Lissner at Ideal Canine! Kudos to Ideal Canine. We adopted a 15mo old girl, Rosie, who was labeled an "escape artist" which we assumed was an exaggeration. It wasn't. She would not only bolt when a door opened but would not come when called. Even worse, she would chew through a leash in seconds. We sent her off to spend a week in the"board and train" program with Bailey and Paige; a brand new dog. Well behaved, pleasurable and obedient.
