I started at iThinkFit for the 4-week fat blaster challenge at the beginning of June, and let me tell you…this place is LEGIT. After exceeding my goals far beyond what I thought was even humanly possible, there really is no excuse to be out of shape. Everyone has different objectives for themselves, but the difference between this place and the next, is that your goals are their goals, and the proof is in your results. I started working out at IThinkFit in 2012 and had never worked out before. I had amazing results, took some time off when I had kids but really needed to get back into consistent workout routine to drop the last few pounds from pregnancy. Came back recently have already made great progress in the short time I’ve been back. I’m so happy I came back I really missed the workouts, environment and people. Ithinkfit is the kind of gym that you love being done with a fitcamp class but once home think about the next challenge, hurdle, or fitcamp. Classes are challenging and never dull. I was a little optimistic about joining a membership gym. There are a lot of stereotypes about gyms and crossfits out there. I purchased the Groupon and came in for a consultation. I felt welcomed as I hesitated to weigh in. It was tough to see how much weight I gained but I never felt embarrassed. I was in a private room and felt at ease. I given my stats from body mass to BMI and we ended up putting together a meal plan and workout plan along with goals for the next three months. The first week of camp was tough. I was soar and struggled but throughout the next week and the next week things started to get easier and I began to work push myself more. I attribute that to my work but more so to the trainers. Each hour with them is a release from our jobs and families. They enable us to push ourselves to our fullest potential. They help us when we need it and help keep us in check. It's been a few months now and I have reached my goal of 30 plus pounds down and on my way to my new goal by summer. What I have found it it's not all about the weight loss but eating healthy and muscle gain. I feel stronger and have more energy than I did in my early 20's. My suggestion is take the leap, find a friend and get to camp. There are people of all shapes, sizes, and abilities. IThinkFit changed my life. A friend talked me into joining IThinkFit after I had tried numerous other ways to get back into shape after college. I joined in October 2015 and I can confidently say that by the next summer I was a different person. I saw changes in not only my body but also in my attitude. The trainers make it fun and easy to make goals and stick to them. In the time since I joined IThinkFit I have lost 30lbs of fat and packed on muscle. I have become strong, athletic, healthy, energized, and I have gained quite a few friends along the way. IThinkFit is the gym to join when you need motivators to help keep you accountable. About five years ago I ran into one of my girlfriends that I hadn’t seen in a while and she looked absolutely incredible.
This was a girl who never had looked bad, but she had definitely been working on her body and after telling her how great she looked, I asked her what she had been doing. She said had been going to “Ithinkfit.” I said, “I think what?”
This stuck in my mind throughout the past five years. I have two children who are six and eight and work full-time. I had fallen off of the gym circuit since having my first child and hadn’t figured out how to get back in shape despite multiple attempts, doing everything from home workouts to personal training and nothing could seem to get me back into a routine. In August I decided to do a 10 week challenge at Ithinkfit and I am hooked for life! They offer the same class at so many different times during the day I don’t have an excuse not to get there. I prefer to go over lunch or after work, but if my schedule is not going to permit one of those times then what excuse do I have not to go to the 5 AM class? I never thought I would be one of those crazy people that got up at 4:30 in the morning to work out but I am, and I love it. Yes, it’s hard to get out of bed but I know that I’m going to see 15 other people that also drug themselves out of bed and I always feel so much better when I am done. I know my workout is out of the way for the day!
The end of the 10 week challenge is has come and I am proud to say that I have lost 11 1/2 pounds of body fat and my body fat percentage is down 7 .7%. I was much like my girlfriend, looking at me you wouldn’t think that I needed to do anything different. But I knew that I could improve and that just being thin wasn’t necessarily the healthiest version of me. Now I am not only thin, but I am strong and healthy. I eat so much better and Diet Coke no longer consists of a meal for me. :)
Thank you to all of the excellent trainers at I think fit for your support and guidance the past 10 weeks and thank you to everyone I have met who made me feel immediately comfortable being in a gym that I had never been to and felt like a fish out of water for the first three weeks. I cannot explain why this place is so different than everywhere else and how it literally has me 100% reengaged to working out every day, but it does. It’s not the fanciest gym but has more equipment than what you'll ever need, it’s never a beauty contest, and the people are fantastic. They are authentic and they are serious about working out, but have great hearts and keep the environment light enough to be fun. Everyone there has a story if you just ask. What a phenomenal experience.
