How can someone tell if their Garage is suitable for conversion?
short answer is:
if have
-outside opening and windows
-has ventilation and damp-free
-structurally sound and has electricity available
then yes. but bear in mind that this is just a short list, first consideration. process is a bit more complex than that. luckily your contractor will be able to check everything for you
Run us through the different stages of the Garage conversion process - what's involved?
first, design. in this stage you dream a little and reality give you boundaries...
second, black and white. in this stage you draw blueprints, contracts, and other legalities
third, permitting. in this stage everything checks out and adjustments are made as needed
construction starts and walls are build, flooring lay out, and all finish with a fresh coat of paint.
inspectors then give you their final approval and then you can enjoy your new space.
