We are so happy with Hyatt Salon and Jill's work on my teen's hair! Everyone in the salon is kind and friendly, and accommodating while we worked with my daughter's ever changing schedule to get her appointment set. Jill listened to what my daughter said and looked at the photos she brought in. Jill had great ideas about how to make it all happen and look great. Her experience with tightly curled hair is obvious. This is truly a wonderful shop. The ladies here are amazing at their craft and are overall amazing people. I had gotten crochet faux locs from Sherry and she did not disappoint! I was skeptical at first because I had never gotten a style like this before and adding to the fact that this was my first time at the salon made it all the more nerve racking. However, I came in and was greatest with kindness and felt that I was being taken care of. The style came out great and it was affordable for a broke college student like myself lol. Jill was very sweet and understanding of my curly/wavy hair, she took her time to even it out and cut it again when I changed my mind and wanted it shorter. She was very careful to make sure I was happy with the length and feel of it and that I was satisfied with the layers, and made sure to ask me what I wanted every step of the way. So happy I found this salon! As everyone here has said, Jill and Sherry are not only great stylists, but also fantastic people. Jill asked a lot of questions about what I wanted from my keratin treatment and really tried to give me as much info as possible to set expectations. The results were even better than I expected and my hair is so much more manageable. It's been about 2 months and although my curls have starting coming back there's still a huge decrease in dry time and frizz. I wanted loose curls, almost waves and that's exactly where we landed. I am so happy I found Hyatt Hair Studio! I have extremely curly hair especially around my forehead which has made it hard for me to truly style my hair and get the looks I have wanted. I was always afraid to try a Keratin treatment because I do love my curls and I don’t want to totally give them up. Jill spent time talking to me and getting to know my hair. She suggested that I do a light keratin treatment focusing on certain areas of my hair so I can keep the curl where I want and just reduce some of the curl/frizz in some of my more problem areas. Suffice it to say I am in love with the results! We were able to reduce the curl around my forehead by 75% which allowed me to get bangs and pull off the short cut that I have always wanted!! I would recommend these ladies to anyone! They are incredibly nice and will take the time to figure out how to get you the outcome you desire. More...

My first visit with this salon was about a week ago. I heard about it through word of mouth. When I looked it up on yelp and saw the reviews I had to try it out. I called and was able to get an appointment the next day! Sherry and Rosie were wonderful. Rosie did my feed in braids and honestly is a work of art. This review is about 15 years late, but I'm gonna post it anyway. Jill Hyatt is an outstanding stylist with the biggest heart. She used to do my twists, knots and cornrows when I was attending Notre Dame de Namur University in nearby Belmont, CA from 2001-2002. Back then, she was known as "EJLK Variety Hair" on Ralston Avenue. I went hard for Jill back then, because it was good to see a successful Black business in the suburbs: I supported her no matter what. She even did my hair in her apartment a few times. And once, when I was short on money, she allowed me to pay her back later: I sent the money to her through the mail. These are just examples of how big her heart was (and is). I no longer have twists or dreadlocks (sad, I know), but I had to let everyone know how talented and excellent Jill is in her craft. She is a master of ethnic hair, and I highly recommend that anyone on the Peninsula give her a try. More...

Absolutely loved my experience here! So happy to have found them since they are so close to my work and know exactly how to style my hair! Here's why I'm coming back here!* Professionalism. Right from the time I spoke to them on the phone, to arriving for my appointment, I felt like I was in a good place. They took me just on time for my appointment (I didn't have to wait), and my hairstylist introduced herself to me and really listened to what I wanted accomplished with my hair (I need a cut, deep condition, and a press).* Perfect Touch. Probably the best shampoo and deep condition I've had in a really long time! They use ONLY the best professional products out there. Also, my hair was straightened to perfection and it lasted me a full week (until I washed it of course).*Clean and nice salon. The salon is absolutely cute! It has such a welcoming vibe to it, and it's super clean. I've been to some salons that are just a total mess and weird decor, and this place looks like the owner and her daughter (who are the stylist) have so much pride in their work!I'm definitely coming back here!If you are a black woman with curly natural hair, this is the place to go!
