I'm not sure that this was quite 4 star food, but I'm a sucker for cheap Chinese lunch specials, so I'll give it that 4th star. I came in one afternoon and was greeted and seated promptly. Â There were almost too many options to choose from, but I was feeling like something fired, so I got the General Tso's with steamed rice and a wonton soup. Â The wonton came out quickly and certainly warmed me up. Â The General Tso's came in a pretty large portion for a lunch special. Â it was good, a nice crunch and not overly sauced, but I've certainly had better. Â I want to come back soon and start trying some of their noodles dishes as I think that and the sushi might be more of their focus.I'll be back, but not in a huge hurry to do so. More...

Tonight, while waiting for my take out order, I witnessed an angry and immature grown man yell at the server working because he had been waiting 5 extra minutes for his order. The way this customer spoke to the worker infuriated me, but I was extremely impressed with how calm and collected he remained, even as he was insulted and berated by an entitled man. I stopped by while visiting my causin who work here,after 5 hours drove,i was so hungry...so i order beef curry noodle.. ..when try the first bite...OMG,the taste was wonderful...extremely delicious!I love curry so much,but i never have as perfect as i ate in that restaurant!Whoever chef that cooked the food,trust me..i advice you to keep him/her forever because its worthy!100% recommended!! Best Chinese in Wilton and probably in all of Fairfield county. The dumplings, crab rangoon, chicken and broccoli, sesame chicken, and lo mein are all great options. Take out is great! Quick and easy.

We got takeout last night at 8 pm. Got home and it was awesome! But the real reason to write the review is some above-and-beyond service. I walked in and ordered. Our order came up very fast and I was back in the car. As I prepared to drive away the hostess came running out and asked if she could replace the salad in our order for a fresh one. A few minutes later, we had our salad and we were on our way. I've gotten poor quality takeout once in a while from various places -- but I have never had someone *come to the car *to replace something that they determined was not up to their standard before we even noticed. Best Chinese food in the area by far!! It is very authentic - not drenched in sauce like some of the other places around. They also have very good and very fresh sushi . They provide crackers and duck sauce whether you dine in or take out which always makes me very happy. Their chicken and string bean dish is one of my very favorites - pro tip: you can request to have them make it spicy! We have loved every dish we have gotten from Hunan and I recommend it to everyone. The only negative thing about this place is the service. The dining room is empty most of the time but even when it is empty I seem to remember the service being a little slow. They do not offer delivery but if you are in the area this makes for a great easy weeknight meal. More...

Favorite Sushi place in CT. I will miss it so much after I move! Favorite order is the Maki Platter and Hot & Sour soup! Great stuff and staff, always friendly and after a few take-out calls they know who is calling and your usual order (if you're like me and always order the same thing). Food is very good and I've always just gotten take out. Â The dining room actually looks pretty nice and would be worth trying some time. Â Haven't tried the sushi because I always go to Reiki Sushi in Wilton for that but it might be worth checking out. I had such a great experience at dinner last night that I was compelled to write a review. My boyfriend and I had a Valentine's Day dinner last night at Hunan, this was our first time sitting down at the restaurant. We usually always order take out from here. It was such a great experience! First, we really were craving a deep fried sushi roll and could not find such a thing on the menu. We asked our server and they were able to do it with whatever roll we wanted! The sushi was fresh, fantastic and looked beautiful. I had ordered the special and he ordered the General Tso (probably the best I've ever had). We both had drinks, which were reasonably priced. I had a White Owl martini and it was absolutely delicious, and  made perfectly! To finish it off, they brought out a free dessert which consisted of brownies and ice cream. When they brought out the dessert, they also included a long stem rose. Win! This place has fantastic customer service and I can't see why anyone would ever complain about this place. Has anyone noticed that moo shu and egg rolls have mysteriously disappeared from many Chinese menus  Well, I did.  So to find a spot that has both - as well as other old school favorites AND sushi and fusion dishes - made me pretty happy. Whether I'm swinging through for a quick order of California rolls and fried rice for a "I don't feel like cooking tonight" dinner or carrying home 3 bags of steaming containers for a family feast, Hunan Café is both convenient and consistently delicious.  We've only done take-out, so I can't speak for the service or general ambience, but the staff seems on-point for phone orders and pick-up.  The prices also seem fair enough considering the quality and central location.When my girls' social graces improve and they stop sticking their damn hands in the water feature by the front door, maybe we'll actually stay and enjoy our meal there! Hunan cafe in Wilton is a really great restaurant. One of the main reasons I love this restaurant is the variety of offerings including: from amazing sushi rolls and platters to delicious Chinese entrees to southeast Asian cuisine such as pad Thai. I can't believe Hunan cafe been in Wilton for over 10 yrs. I love this place there Chinese food is "wonderful" and the appetizers are amazing especially there dumplings with peanut sauce it's out of this world. There sushi is very good I had a volcano roll and it was fantastic and they have sake & alcohol that's a big plus for me. This place is very clean and especially there bathroom. They also have great customer service I love there take-out lady Christine I guess she's been there forever & she is forever being nice and so polite and also the manager Jay.
