We ordered a cake for my daughter's quince. We provided photos of what we wanted and we struggled to get an appointment or to meet with the cake decorator, but we were told by the decorator's father and reassured that the cake would be as we wanted. We ordered the cake with plenty of time and the photos tell the rest of the story, as I sarcastically say "Nailed it!" I was so upset on the day of the event. This is why we wanted to see the cake before the event. As a first time customer, I could not be more so dissatisfied. I hope they see this. I waited to see if my feelings would be different, but I am so unhappy with the result on my daughter's special day and her face said it all. For this business to not care enough to say to us that they could not do what we wanted says a lot about their work ethic. At the very least, the cake itself tasted good. But when you ask for something, you don't even think of the taste as you eat it. I can go on, but you get the point. If I could, this place would get a zero. More...

Absolutely disgusting! They sold us old bbq meat that they put so much spices on to it cover up. We usually shop from here and never had a issue, but this last time was horrible. My husband bought filet mignon and chicken thigh when we opened the bags to put it on skewers it had a smell. But it was dinner time and everyone was hungry so we went ahead and did the bbq. It tasted HORRIBLE! I had a couple of pieces and my guests tried to eat it to, but it tasted so bad they couldn't. I literally threw all of it away. I was so embarrassed in front of my guests. I got sick next day and so did a couple of my guests. I tried to call them Saturday night, but they were already closed. My brother bought bbq meat from here Saturday night and it went straight into the trash after it was cooked. The meat was marinated with so much spices that it tasted nasty and had weird smell. It definitely wasn't fresh meat. All the guests literally had one piece and didn't want to touch another piece. We were going to take it back to show them how horrible taste was but they're closed on Sunday and Monday. When the owner was contacted and informed of our experience, there was no apology at all and did not try to compensate us. Just be careful when buying meat from here. Food here is terrible. Not only are the prices outrages but it all tastes the same. The "wagyu" that is $35 a pound tastes like lamb and the chicken kabob is like a tire its so rubbery. I had a chance to meet the owner and his son. The quality of people they are, is unmatched! They were Very helpful. I don't know much about meat but they really made me feel comfortable! I really love that! They've been at this location for about 24 years. Which means, they've been through it all!! The recession, the pandemic and now, INFLATION! If you're looking to see if this bakery makes custom photo cakes, the answer is yes! I searched all over Yelp for the perfect bakery to make me a cake within a certain price point before this place was recommended to me. After being quoted over $100 for a small photo cake, I came here and was quoted $75 for a fresh strawberry cake with their homemade custard. I ordered a week in advance and waited in anticipation to see the final result! I really appreciated that they not only made me a fantastic and hilarious cake, but that they followed my allergy restrictions since I had guests that are allergic to certain ingredients. Absolutely adored my cake to the fullest! Not only was this bakery quick to respond but their designer was incredibly friendly, understood the concept I was going for, was extremely communicative throughout the entire process AND he made my frog/heart cake dreams come true! First time customer also last. Was invited to a dinner party so I ordered a cake and cupcakes and a pastry for myself. They decided to put 4 cupcakes in a cake box, so when they got here, they were all smashed and rolled around. Can't give those to the host! They cake was also smashed! $50 out the window. Stopped by for some raw meats to make khorovatz (kebab) at home. We picked up some shish or lule, chicken, filet, and lamb chops, about a pound each which totaled $50. It may seem a bit expensive but all the meat is marinated and cooks so beautifully.The lamb chops were a bit salty and the lule may be a bit much for those who are not used to it, but regardless, all the meats are packed with flavor.Everything was grilled to juicy, tender perfection and we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this bakery. I was in town for 1 day with my family and we wanted to celebrate my wife's Birthday. With a short (1day) notice, sight unseen, one of the most beautiful delicious cakes I've ever had was produced with enthusiasm and style. It has now been a couple of weeks since my event and have not yet heard back from anyone at the bakery with any explanations. This truly infuriates me. This bakery truly does not care about customer satisfaction. Â I have family members that own businesses and I have seen how they treat their customers. I ordered a cake for a sweet 16 from House of Pastry and let me tell you I am extremely disappointed. When we chose this bakery for our event Edward was extremely nice and made our experience very pleasant. He even made a fresh piece of cake for us to try , which sold us and made us choose this bakery for our party.  We were even very happy that during the pandemic they worked with us as we had to reschedule our event. Once we arrived to our venue,  I was shocked to find out that TWO tiers of our three tier cake were fake.  They used Styrofoam  and covered it with butter cream. On the side they brought a sheet of cake. Never were we informed that the cake would be fake. My family has ordered cakes from house of pastry  previously and never had this happened.  I myself just got married and had a beautiful three tear cake from another bakery and it was ALL REAL CAKE. I understand thing happen but for the price we payed  I expected much more. If  I wanted a fake cake or a sheet cake I could've gone to my local market and bought one and payed not even a quarter of what we payed for our cake. If anyone is ordering from this bakery please  make sure to ask if your cake will be real or if you are getting a Styrofoam cake. That way you are not as disappointed as I am.When I called to ask what happened I was told that I ordered my cake that way and that the receipt said so. I love this bakery! We got our wedding cake from here and could not be happier with the taste & design. Before our wedding I bought a Mikado cake from here too and it was so fresh and so delicious - all the layers were tender and flavorful, still warm from the oven! After our wedding I came back to buy another Mocha Special cake for a friend's birthday and it was a big hit! The main bakers are a father & son team and they are knowledgeable about the business. They knew how big of a cake we needed based on our guest count and did not try to push something bigger.
