I cannot recommend working with House of Amsel enough! They shot our wedding this past October. Even though it rained, and we had a totally weird and off kilter schedule for our day, they showed up calm, excited, and with a ton of beautiful ideas, and totally made us feel at ease! Our pictures are beautiful and received our USB in a lovely gift box. They communicate well, easing an anxious bride who was totally freaking out about the pouring rain forecast, and was able to find the perfect spot at our reception area to get all the bridal portraits and family shots I was hoping for! I used House of Amsel Photography before for holiday photos. I had completely forgotten about them two years later when researching wedding photographers- until my hubby reminded me. I am so glad he did that because using them was perfect. For communication, they never missed an e-mail or question or concern. They treated me with respect and kindness. They were able to get authentic, wonderful photos of my husband, a man who hates taking photos! A few guests even asked me for their info in order to speak to them for future bookings! When the photos arrived, the USB and its packaging was very well planned! I never uncomfortable working with them and they captured genuine smiles. When Melissa and I started planning our wedding, we knew that we wanted to hire Alex right away. We have known Alex for a couple years and have always gotten see her wonderful work over that time. Alex had our engagements photos done before we even realized we took them and they turned out awesome (especially the car ones ;D)!! She was very patient while working with us, having never taken professional photos before, and our very easily distracted dog. She knew tons of great poses for pictures that kept us feeling normal instead of our normal awkward selves. We are excited for her new journey and can't wait for her to shoot our wedding! Every day for 5 days I "liked" this page, it was a contest actually & after those 5 days each persons name was put into a drawing and BAM, I WON! ! But what you don't know is the irony, I do NOT like the camera, I was just playing along to help a friend get some buzz about her new photo business... but wow what an experience this was!! Alex & Stef were great with my kids & I loved the candidness (is that a word?) I mean we weren't "posed" it was just so natural. Even my 9 year old son said on the way home "that was actually pretty fun!" He was not enthused while getting ready for this at all. I have two people already, just from the sneak peaks that want to set something up with them, to me, that says a lot!! So again Alex & Stef, thank you for the opportunity to have such a great moment in time captured by wonderful photos that my kids will have to look back upon & cherish. More...

Okay, if you have photo anxiety don’t even worry about your session! Steffie & Alex were absolutely amazing. My daughter and I had a great time during our mommy & me session and I felt 100% comfortable. They guided us into poses, but they weren’t really poses at all. We were hanging out in the poses they set us up in and they BEAUTIFULLY captured the moments within the poses. They were extremely generous with the amount of photos they turned over compared to other photographers we’ve worked with. The whole session from communication, to session day, to turning around photos was completely painless. Thank you both again - we love our photos and will be cherishing them forever. After searching tirelessly for a wedding photographer we finally found what we were looking for with House of Amsel Photography.
First, leading up to our wedding, communication was efficient and prompt. It might seem like an insignificant thing but when you’re working with multiple suppliers having quick sensible answers to questions is very helpful.
Not only is Alex and Stefanie phenomenal photographers, they are also great people! They both have great personalities, always willing to help and answer questions. At the day of our engagement pictures, the day was warm and sunny. The day felt like we were just hanging out with friends taking pictures. Their creativity is exquisite. We felt that Alex and Stefanie really made the effort to get to know us and ensured that the photos of our engagement reflected our personalities which offered a really nice personal touch.
The day of the wedding, they were early and ready to go. All our memories from the wedding day have been captured perfectly from start to finish. They were really careful about giving us all space without missing any important moments. Alex and Stefanie’s unique use of light and gorgeous tones made our wedding look like a fairytale and my bride was the princess of it all.
Alex and Stefanie was a great addition to our special day. They are both so passionate about what they do and their friendly disposition, their energy and their undeniable sense of fun allowed for us to be completely relaxed and to be US in front of the lens.
