The rooms are beautiful and functional, the bed was so comfortable and the shower is perfect. The coffee station with flat and bubbly water and the juiciest apples I've ever eaten is amazing. What a treat to stay at this beautiful property. As soon as you set foot in the lobby you know you are not at an ordinary hotel-great art, bikes in the lobby to borrow, lots of local touches and textures. Check in was a breeze. The rooms have lots of unusual design and decor elements including sliding doors for the bathroom, indirect lighting under the bed, local textiles and appointments. The bed and bedding made for a great night sleep in the quiet guest floors. Each room has a carafe for water that can be filled with still or sparkling water from the dispenser in the hallway. The staff is friendly and helpful with everything from making sure you have all you need to answering the question about whether or not the chamomile tea is decaf-which it is! The location is fantastic-close to Church St. shopping and dining, Lake Champlain and the Burlington Greenbelt. Next time I come I hope to stay longer!! More...

Staying at Hotel Vermont during our wedding was perfect! We utilized them as a hotel for guests, the location of our welcome dinner, and our post wedding breakfast. Throughout the entire weekend the entire staff was attentive and happy to help with any of the more stressful moments of a wedding weekend. We have stayed with Hotel VT in the past and have always had an excellent experience, after spending time during our wedding there, we will continue to use it as a favorite spot during a Burlington visit! First trip to Burlington and we definitely chose the right hotel for our weekend trip. Clean and contemporary room design. Very helpful front desk and free parking right next door which is always nice. Super convenient to downtown so we were able to walk easily. Chic and upscale hotel. Not the cheapest, maybe a lil pricey, but nice and trends fancy for Btown. The bar (good cocktails) closes on the early side but I guess I understand that. We planned a last minute trip to see fall leaves and found a room at the Hotel Vermont. I wanted to stay at a cute B&B or Inn but the hotel was in such a good spot and was so nice that I was happy we stayed there. They put on cider donuts or Vermont cheeses and crackers in the warm ad cozy lobby daily and they have bicycles to take to ride around the Lake Champlain bike path. Our fourth trip here! Lobby is always filled with flowers or floral decor, pitcher of cold water, bikes, cozy sitting room and easy access to parking garage. Restaurant is delicious. Bar choices are top quality and a great beer menu. Rooms are simple, rustic, clean, comfortable, and have little touches that make us love it. Water glasses, artisan mugs, flannel robes, sometimes a book, current Burlington brochure, battery alarm clock that you can move, radio and more! This is a beautifully designed hotel, from the lobby and Juniper restaurant to the room. I am always impressed with hotels that have water stations (still and sparkling) on each floor; I wish all hotels would do this. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent, however our room could have benefited from more storage space for clothes. We were only there for 2 nights so not a problem for us, but a longer stay with winter gear could prove pretty challenging. We had breakfast, dinner and drinks at Juniper and enjoyed everything we had there. We would definitely stay here again next time we are in Burlington. More...

Writing my first ever TripAdvisor review because I must gush about how lovely our stay was - especially in regards to how dog-friendly this hotel is. We were in town for a formal event on Saturday evening, but stayed the whole weekend. We brought our Jack Russell with us for her first ever hotel stay. It was amazing! When I initially made the reservation for a dog-friendly room, the woman on the phone asked if we'd like a dog bed in our room (we brought our own, but it was a nice offer!). Upon checking in, our dog was given a treat the size of her head at the front desk. A couple weeks prior to our stay, I emailed the hotel asking if they could recommend a local dog sitter to stay with our dog while we went to our event Saturday night. They didn't just recommend someone, they arranged for a fantastic staff member (shout out to wonderful Evan) to stay with her on Saturday evening. Our dog was so happy at Hotel Vermont, and so were we!! The hotel itself is very clean and modern, the food and cocktails were great, and it's located a stone's throw away from both the lake and from Church Street. This hotel has it all, great location, well maintained, and a friendly staff. We enjoyed a long weekend at the hotel and had a great time. Out room was on the 6th floor and it was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The views could have been a little better but they were still nice, we could see the lake from our room. ||||The only issue is the room is a little oddly laid out with the whirlpool next to the shower. You have to walk through the shower to get to the tub.||||The Food Fire Foam night was a good time and I would recommend if you are staying in the hotel on Thursday night. This hotel has a luxury feel but is not in the least way ostentatious. Environmentally friendly and then some! Be certain to listen carefully when checking in so you know how to turn the lights in the room back on when they shut off to conserve energy (turn the room door's deadbolt). The Vermont Hotel was locates in a great spot in Burlington! We lived the design of the hotel, Very funky. The decor was esthetically pleasing. Loved the floor bar of coffee, tea, water, and fruit. Even had a freezer! Super idea! Also, loved having separate shower vanity and toilet vanity. 4 stars because the toilet made SO much noise when flushed that it woke everyone up!
