POOR internal communication. HIGH ego!! August - First meeting with the General Manager to talk about a charity project. . September - Second meeting with General Manager with hard copy and details of the project.. October - Official email to hotel with past event details and future projections.. GM responded and included 2 members of the staff to move into details and dates.. November - Meeting with hotel coordinators. Agreement: They would lend the space in March for the celebration of Women’s History Month in exchange for full credit as main sponsor and producers of the event. From that same day (and their permission) we did a live from the hotel to bring out the good news, their logo was added to the webpage, we sent emails and invitations, we started bringing business to them, and designing the marketing campaign.. December - We brought around 40 local entrepreneurs and business owners to keep up with social advertising for the hotel.. February - We brought models, beauty queens, and guests to the bar and we not only got practically invited to leave (because we moved 2 coffee tables) BUT WERE TOLD THAT NO EVENT was on their calendar for March!!! From there it took them 2 weeks to receive me and I had to basically start with the first project proposal all over again and even send links, pictures and detailed list of everything we have been doing for their publicity INCLUDING a set of paintings (valued +$2,000) made inspired in their bar were we were supposed to have the 3 hour event.. and all this because they simply did NOT know anything about this event (they said). So the 7 months I spent creating content, passing the word, promoting their bar, bringing people, supervising the paintings, preparing for a "better than last time event" as the general manager asked me to…. Went straight to the trash. BUT they were kind enough to "help me out"… I receive a contract a few days ago that was not even near what we agreed months ago with no mock-up plan (needed to define how many people you can fit before inviting guests) Long story short, from a 200 people projection 7 months ago to only 50 people and 20 days to re-organize. They really DON’T understand how events work, and they really DON’T care. .. I have been talking with 5 people total and none of them have admitted any responsibility. As a matter of fact (and this is why I am writing this review) they made me feel like all of this was my fault!!! Oh, and I just found out they are having a women’s history month celebration same day I asked, same bar I asked… and here I am still waiting for the mock-up. We made reservations a couple months in advance. After our flight, we stopped to check in only one hour after check in time. We were told our room was double booked and that we had been bumped. We were able to find another hotel for the week, but... 1. My understanding was that a reservation meant a room was designated for you. 2. We walked into our room and the view we had was breathtaking! I couldn’t have asked for something better… I had taken my mom & aunt on a road trip and El Paso was our final visiting city. They are originally from Juarez and our room view of Juarez was directly to their old childhood neighborhood! They were both happy. We had plenty of rest, beds were very comfortable. Dirty hairy bathrooms. Our first room had hairs in the shower, so they moved us into another room...... and what did we discover. ... more hairs. Grossed me out! I definitely recommend Hotel Del Norte. The hotel is very charming and elegant. At the Sabōr bar, I recommend he guacamole and chips, grilled Shishiea peppers very fresh & delicious I had an awesome massage with Cruz at their beautiful Spa and their main piano bars is exquisite. We decided to do a staycation with a few friends for a birthday celebration. Two men at El Mirador one being named Franco was extremely rude. They let in smaller parties and made our party of 12 wait, we then decided to leave an hour later. We expressed our concerned to Nick Fonseca hotel manager, he was extremely rude and threw his hands up like Oh Well! I started videoing him as he was so rude to share with his upper management, he was so upset about the videoing that he came around the counter to demand I stop recording. My husband then had to try to separate him because he was so threatening. I called to give my formal complaint to Nicks manager Judy a few days ago and after voice messages and emails I never heard a response. Then decided to go above to Julian he offered a nights stay at an employee rate!!! As if I would spend anymore of my money here. This is unfortunate as a native ElPasoan to see one of these monumental beautiful hotels being ran by people with no customer service! I normally don’t leave reviews like this because I myself am a business owner but with 3 managers and not getting anywhere I’m forced to show you all future customers what you have to look forward during your experience at this hotel!
