The room is clean and bigger than I expected, the lady at front desk was very nice when I checked in, I was here for vacation with my family, we had a wonderful staying, and Hotel Mariposa is my first choice when I come here next time!!!!!

Our experience at Hotel Mariposa was absolutely wonderful! It was our first time in LA and Hotel Mariposa was conveniently located nearby Hollywood without the congestion of the city! Front desk staff were super helpful when checking us in on Saturday April 15, and during our checkout the following day. The spa pool was an absolutely perfect way to unwind after a long trip from Anaheim. Hotel was clean and conveniently situated near some great restaurants and a Whole Foods location. Loved the underground parking garage, as it provided peace of mind for our rental vehicle. Will surely be back the next time I am in LA! More...

Liked everything about my stay. Super pet friendly, piping hot water, and a bathtub (instead of shower only), fast wifi. We were able to book during a promotion period so that was an added incentive.When visiting the area, we used to stay at the Sportsmans Lodge which is no more and then at the Garland which is kind of pricey. We looked at The Mariposa because because it's close to where we want to be and across the street from our favorite place, Hugo's.The room was a good size, sparsely decorated, quiet and very clean.The housekeepers were on top of keeping us happy.This our new go to place when we visit the area again. About 5 minutes away from Universal Studios Hollywood. We planned to check in after our Universal visit and had informed the hotel via email about our possible late check in but ended up checking in earlier than what was expected. When we got there, they had their own parking space which was great. The previous hotel were in did not have covered parking or any parking at all. We had to park on the side of the street which was making us feel uneasy. The elevators were clean and when we got out of the elevator, a staff member greeted us and was handing out fresh baked cookies. The front desk staff were very welcoming. I asked about our reservation and it was an easy check in. They even have the info about us supposedly checking in late. The hotel guest area was bright and clean and they had a bar downstairs where you could sit down and hangout. Food was also available on site. We got to our room and everything was crisp clean. The bedroom was big and it was so bright. They had robes available and the bathroom was spacious. This will be our new go-to hotel whenever come and visit for Universal Studios (Harry Potter fans here) or just whenever near the vicinity. More...

All staff were friendly, knowledgeable and approachable. They answered all of our questions and provided us with whatever items we requested, iron, scissors etc. We enjoyed the hotel, perfect location, WiFi connection was without issue. The breakfast was really good and we loved the decor and theme. Parking was convenient and we really liked the security measures in place. The ONLY concern we had is that the bathroom was not as clean as to be expected. There was a bit of hair from the previous guest still in the tub. We simply bought Clorox and cleaned the tub and didn't even mention it to the staff.Otherwise, we had a phenomenal trip and would definitely book again! More...

The hotel is clean , the room is big and staff is nice. However, the wall/floor of the room is so thin. You can hear guests above you walking, rooms next door shut their window blinds. No privacy whatever so ever.

Affordable and clean looking hotel. I like the Butterfly decor everywhere you look and the staff aren’t rude. Breakfast isn’t included and a microwave isn’t also. Parking and location are decent.

We absolutely LOVED this hotel for so many reasons: 1) it was very clean 2) the modern style and decor was present 3) the distance to universal studios was pretty good 4) the competitive pricing 5) on. Site. Parking. Garage. And the elevator goes straight up to your room floor. The convenience of that is just *chefs kiss* 6) my favorite thing: THE BED. AND THE PILLOWS. The room was booked with my travel companion. His flight was delayed. He couldn’t call and add me to check in, and pay, and they wouldn’t call him to add me. They also didn’t have the room ready and it’s 4:10pm, stating they were fully booked and still cleaning them. So it should be done by 4:30pm. Of course no call to let us know we couldn’t check in because they are delayed. I would not book here again. Clean and modern! The rooms were big and bathroom clean and modern. We really enjoyed staying here and would come again. Few things to be noted. $25/night for parking and they give you a code to scan to get in/out. Nice parking garage.No free breakfast. They have a little shop inside for pastries and drinks that you need to pay for.I don’t think there was a vent inside our bathroom so if you take hot showers, leave the door open if possible. Extremely neat hotel. They have opened only 10 months ago so the cleanliness is at its peak especially for LA.Only 16 min drive to Universal, dog friendly & has EV chargers in the parking.But - parking is extra $$ and extra $$ for pet. We come to Los Angeles 2 to 3 times at year and this is our first time this hotel so glad that I found it . Nice location close to universal. Feel safe here. Great staff and love the room had a lot space and was clean. This hotel look so cute and love the decoration. I would definitely would stay here in the future.
