THE ROOM:|Love the room. It’s very clean + with soothing contemporary design.||SERVICE:|Front Desk staffs were generally helpful and friendly. There was a new staff that wasn’t too sure about the hotel operations and amenities nearby but am sure given time, she will improve. And since there’s always 2 staffs at the front desk, so no issue at all.||LOCATION:|Can’t say much about the location as we were there just for a short 1 night stay for business purpose, didn’t have time to roam around. The super-friendly and helpful staff - daytime and night staff made it a great stay for us. The room and bathroom were nice but it had a funky kind of dank smell, or I would have rated it 5 stars. Plus we were on the second floor in the back, with a lovely view of the UHaul facility- so that could have been better too.As other people said, limited parking but we were lucky and got a spot when we checked in. Really nice hotel. One negative is the phone call shortly after check-out to remind us to leave. A few minutes grace time would be nice. Let me say five stars would absolutely be there but the location isn’t on par with the hotel. I was fortunate to score one of perhaps 16 free parking spots at the hotel. Check in is easy and delicious pastries are free and prominently on display. The lemon pound cake is memorable. The rooms are plenty big and decorated in transitional modern with elements of wood, metal, and even a small faux fur rug. The bed was comfy. The minibar is a bit strange in that it is empty, save two complimentary water bottles. There is a menu of mini bar items you can order to have delivered. I’ve never seen this before. I may have consumed mini bar items on impulse but not going to order. I think they are losing money with this system? The bathroom is well appointed; nice robe and toiletries. I’ll stay here again but look forward to the neighborhood improving. Whole Foods is nearby and keeps many around during the day but at night, with many vacant lots, I used Uber for peace of mind. Nice hotel, good location, ok neighborhoodThis hotel was very modern and clean. Conveniently located close to subway, the location makes it possible to easily take the subway and skip the rude, overcharging taxi drivers! The neighborhood is safe, however it does not give you the feeling of being in New York.Don't count on the parking, it is always full. Specially if you tend come back late night, all the spots will be filled.The key cards became inactive several times during our stay, and the same as thing happened to many other guests. The staff was helpful and courteous. It was nice to have bottled water ready when we checked in, but it was better if they had done this on other days. Overall, no complaints. More...

My daughter and I had to come into Brooklyn for a wake and funeral. We couldnt have been happier with our room and, honestly, thought the shower was the best feature. It is, in fact, the best shower Ive ever seen and that includes hotels in London, Paris, Rome, Palermo, and Taormino.The location was wonderful with free parking (outdoor) directly in front of the hotel.The hotel does not have a kitchen and there are many locations within easy walking distance to tempt any palette. They provided, what my daughter hailed as better than a continental breakfast, a basket of different items to encourage anyone to break their fast. And it is brought up to your room. You have 2 times to choose from: 7 AM and 10AM.I would definitely recommend this hotel. More...

This is our 2nd time. My husband’s niece lives in Brooklyn and we are just blocks away from her place and from great gems of restaurants further up the street. ||The area of the hotel isn’t great but it’s just a walk up the street to great places to eat. The hotel was fantastic: scones were at the front desk for customers and it was such a treat. The rooms are modern, very sleek and clean, clean, clean! No heavy fabrics on the windows or old bedspreads that can attract who knows what. The shower was another plus: huge overhead shower head. ||We will be staying here again. One thing to note is that the parking lot is small and we were fortunate to not have to drive around looking for street parking. Everything about the hotel is compact -- the parking lot, the lobby, the rooms -- but clean and comfortable. The bathroom and shower are roomy, given the relative size of the room, and we appreciated that. There are also robes available for your use in the room. A free breakfast is provided and is delivered to your room at the time you request but it's a box breakfast consisting of milk, cheerios, strawberry yogurt, a hard boiled egg, a croissant, condiments like butter and honey, and either an orange or an apple. No substitutions are available and I would have preferred a bagel instead of a croissant, but we were each able to find something we liked. The one thing I wish were different is the parking. The hotel offers free parking, which is wonderful, but since there are only 13 spaces in the hotel lot, it's first come, first served! You can pay to park at the public garage across the street, though, so if you don't get a free space the garage is literally a minute away. A subway stop is only a couple of blocks away so it's convenient. We'd stay there again. More...

A good deal led me to a two night stay. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well located near enough to the subway so it's a short walk. The downside is that 4th Ave, is industrial and not the leafy Park Slope it adjoins. The hotel is next door to a taxi garage and a large storage place. The view out my window took in both PLUS the Manhattan skyline. I had no issue with this location but you should be forewarned. I liked their delivery of a "complimentary" continental breakfast in the morning. The front desk is open all hours. I felt quite safe here but recognize that some may feel uncomfortable with the walk from the subway at night. Only real negative was a too soft mattress.
