Heather and her team at hotel Covington were nothing short of excellent. They were easy to communicate with, they were accommodating to special needs and last minute changes. Most importantly they truly listened to the vision Steve and I shared for our wedding day and then brought it to life. The day was perfect even with rainy weather. The convenience of having our ceremony and reception all at one place with easy access to guest rooms was a top priority or us. The venue at Hotel Covington allowed this to take place without any major fuss. The servers and our banquet coordinator were kind, polite and always checking on us throughout the night to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and had everything we needed. This hotel is so unique in design that our decorations were very minimal for the reception, the ballroom downstairs was cozy and really came to life when it was lit up and full of our family and friends. The photo booth at Hotel Covington was a hit with our guests, a simple iPad that had a light on it and sent images directly to guest as well as collected a gallery for all to view. Last minute we wanted to add a farewell brunch due to so many out of town guests and Heather made it happen without blinking an eye. Her experience and knowledge of the industry was so helpful as we navigated planning our wedding. The food at Hotel Covington was a big draw to us as we were choosing venues. The menu is seasonal at times - we were able to customize sides, entrees, appetizers and even custom bottles of alcohol for the father of the bride as a gift. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how amazing the food was after the wedding. Heather exceeded all expectation in helping coordinate our day and was such a joy to work with. We highly recommend working with Hotel Covington and Heather. We look forward to many anniversary dinners and visits to Coppins Restaurant in the future. More...

We splurged on staying here for a recent trip to Cincinnati.  This hotel is right across the river and is FANTASTIC. Our room was spacious and quiet and dark at night and beautiful.  The staff was friendly and welcoming; and we were able to have a VERY HEALTHY and yet DELICIOUS breakfast in the restaurant.  Parking was available for free on the street right outside.BTW, I read a review that warned people that there is a lot of fur-based decor. We've got a family member who doesn't like mis-treating non-humans so we were thrilled to learn that the "fur" is FAUX. More...

I am so happy that we chose Hotel Covington to have our wedding reception at. I have been obssesed with the look and feel of this venue since I moved to the area and knew that no where else would express our style better than this place. It was goegeous and we had mostly out of town guests who stayed at the hotel and had such a special experience. I was so proud to have our friends and family stay at such a top notch hotel. The food was delicious ( people kept telling me it was the best food they every had at a wedding!) and the drinks were wonderful. Our wedding was everything I envisioned and more!!

The only reason I could not give a 5 star rating is due to communication issues. I had a very difficult time getting responses from my final contact person so I finally reached out to a supervisor and still had the same issue. However, I hired an outside event coordinator who assisted and everything turned out perfectly which is the most important thing. I would still recommend this venue for your wedding! It's one of a kind and I am overjoyed with how our wedding turned out.

Once upon a time, in a faraway land called OTR, I accidentally booked MY OWN BED away to Airbnbers.  That prompted two options: 1) offer them a discount for sleeping in between them, OR 2) find a hotel. Finding a hotel felt more legal. And because I've been taking adult swim lessons, I felt bold enough to swim to.....Kentucky.Ohioans tend to look down on Kentucky, but the drive from CVG has Kentucky looking down on Ohio. So there's that.Plus the imaginary rivalry reminds me of Missouri vs Kansas....a blind family friend from Missouri once told me that "you know Kansas's state tree is the phone pole." #BlindsThrowingShadeHere's the thing, Ohio - we were wrong.  Covington is pretty awesome, empowered by its eponymous hotel.....even if Braxton Brewery's spiked seltzer is "Made from Kentucky Artisan Water." Here's why and why not, to the tune of YMCA:1) Every hotel room is graced with a magic 8 ball, because science. 2) The mini bar's pricing is.....mini.....and filled with locally-curated treats.  I'm glad a hotel's mini bar is finally priced to sell volume over margin, like Warby Parker. Or Franzia3) To me, softness is a religion (#SoftnessOverGod), and it seems that Hotel Covington subscribes to that same covenant.  Though, warning for you vegans, a lot of the softness is fur-based. (separate warning: a lot of non-vegan food is fun-based)4) The bathroom entrance is marked by a sexy sliding door - a welcome replacement to those graceless hinged doors, which can quickly unhinge desire.5) Every room also has a pleasant intimacy kit, so you can get intimate with your door without procreating offspring with a bronze knob for a belly-button. WHY NOT1) No pool for me to flex my new swimming skills and/or batman speedos.  2) Nobody answers the front desk phone, which is inexcusable unless their phone hands are busy digging a pool hole. YMCA1) Parking is not included, and the lack of transparency about it feels a like a Florida resort fee2) No second bar soap for the shower.  There's body wash, but without my baby-girl aka loofah, body wash slapped straight on skin leaves me feeling as clean as drying off with paper towels.OTR can often feel like an egotistical island; it was refreshing to swim out to other/more intimate shores who don't feel the need for attention to feel like they matter.  I'll see you again soon, Hotel Covington, as long as I can bring my own "Rhine"-ribbed loofah More...

Stayed here recently for a family wedding celebration. From the moment we rolled up in our rental car, to the moment we checked out, the service was top notch. The hotel staff bent over backwards (from the front desk staff to the restaurant, to the valet staff) to be friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is stunningly modern and the rooms are very nicely appointed.  Loved the in-lobby coffee shop. Also loved the flavored water cooler and complementary pina colada's we saw one afternoon. Wish we could have enjoyed the bar but the cocktail menu looked great! While we did not get to walk the area, the surrounding blocks are super hip and cute with lots to eat and see. All in all, we had a great stay at the Hotel Covington!!!!!!! More...

Dear Carl,Although we haven't met, I asked our server who is the manager, and she said you are, although I have witnessed many team members, several in jackets, being hands-on in the hotel, from greeting, conferring, escorting workers, and seeing to myriad details.  I love what you all have created! Great energy, upbeat vibes, charming aesthetic details, and many welcoming staff.  Congratulations!  We have stayed at the Westin, the HIlton Netherland, and eaten at Metropole, and easily your hotel wins for magnetic want to return substance.  Your cleaning crew puts their elbow grease into their work--please congratulate them--working away often by themselves to make every corner shine--and then, unexpectedly, we returned to our room and Guest Services had a bottle of champagne and cookies for my birthday--thank you!  You deserve to be up with the Fairmont, our favorites for anniversaries.  Blessings on you and yours and all your endeavors--Cheers! Lovely - both times. In the past few months I've had two memorable visits to Hotel Covington. For starters, I don't know what it is about a simple free coffee token in the bedroom but it really does it for me. You can exchange the wooden chip for a cup of freshly brewed local Carabello coffee at the barista stand in the lobby. Try your best to fight off the local cronuts- yikes, I might have to cave next time. Speaking of food, that leads me to one of my other favorite features of the hotel: the eats! The in-house restaurant boast not only incredible lunch and dinner options but a breakfast menu that is worth a visit on its own. I'm still thinking of the goetta (local sausage) and French toast we enjoyed during my first visit. You'll find some fun southern ingredients on the menu like sorghum syrup and pimento cheese. This former department store converted beautifully into a hotel (I imagine it was a labor of love). You'll find a mini gift shop at the entry, valet stand (affordable for only $12 over night) and a bar with lounge areas on the lower level. The rooms feature velvet headboards, cool colors and tile...and, if you're lucky, a killer view of the Cincinnati skyline. Both visits have been around $130-$150/night with taxes for a weeknight. Hoping to one day plan a leisure visit with my partner-in-crime. My only complaint would be that they don't currently offer a loyalty program-- ideal for frequent visitors/biz travel More...

I have much experience with boutique hotels.  From NYC to Chicago, I have stayed at many.  With that in mind, I never expected Covington, Kentucky to have one of the best.  I booked this stay at the last minute. I wanted to split my drive to Nashville and just found the listing attractive. I knew nothing of the place prior to walking in the door...and boy was I impressed from the start. The valet (Edward) was amazing.  We got a history of the area, tips on various amenities and a lot more.  He was great. The rooms, the subtle touches, the food, the outdoor atrium and so much more.  This place is actually...excellent.  This is an excellent hotel.  If I am ever, ever back in Cincinnati this is the only place I will stay.  I am blown away.  Truly, I am. I would just like to praise The Hotel Covington for being so accommodating to our wedding guests the weekend of June 1st.  They worked so hard to make sure everyone was taken care of and went above and beyond to secure us rooms/suites for the wedding party, newlywed couple, and guests . They even worked with us to get guest bags to each of them upon arrival.  Samantha Bryant was the coordinator for our stay and was phenomenal!  She was so patient, kind, caring and supportive in every way!! I cannot say enough about how much she helped us coordinate everything.  During our stay, the staff was great at getting us what we needed for make-up/hair appointments that were in the suites the morning of the wedding and anything/everything else we needed.  Everyone was so pleasant and helpful.  I highly recommend Hotel Covington to anyone.  It will be a pleasant, enjoyable, an extremely accommodating experience.
