I have stayed at this Coast a number of times. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The shuttle service is excellent. Rooms are a bit dated, but fine. Always clean. The head housekeeper had found a pill box I left in September and secured it for me. It was waiting for me at the desk when I arrived. Great customer service. This is the standard goto for workers traveling to and from the north slope. The shuttle bus is an actual shuttle bus and not just a big van. The entrance area is great and well decorated and the rooms are very respectable. Having the restaurant attached is fabulous and super convenient. Heres the thing--you cant rate Alaska lodging like other travels. We were coming in late, needed airport hotel with shuttle and just 1 night. Ended up with flight change and arrived 1pm. Great friendly staff, a small restaurant with 1/2 price Appetizers till 7pm. Continental breakfast or swap coupon to take $5 off full breakfast. (Hint if ordering great blueberry pancakes-take 1 as are big!) Yes, hotel has a worn carpet look, pillows are not great, but room is clean, not bad size, you can hear planes but staff is super nice. Yes, it is pricey compared to hotels you are used to in this price range but Alaska has more upkeep and they have small window to make $. So with that in mind, it is an ok hotel. More...

The Coast International Inn has everything we needed: roomy comfortable accommodations, very friendly helpful staff, a sports bar with great food plus a standard restaurant.
