Just what the title says, Hope for Families. I come from a long line of family alcoholism. I struggle with codependency and have family that have or are struggling with alcohol, the effects of it or abusive relationships. I have gone to Alanon groups, Celebrate Recovery and counseling. I’ll start by saying that I’ve seen many therapists in my life, and they have always made me feel like I’m not human. I’ve been going to Hope For Families (seeing Campbell Manning, who is a godsend) for about 6 years now, and it has completely changed my life. The therapists here are real, and they treat you as their equals. It’s a very homey, casual environment, which is comforting. They keep the rooms colorful, so you feel like you’re at someone’s house, not a stuffy doctor’s office. And this is the only place I’ve been where they haven’t written down everything I say, which always made me feel like some sort of project. They treat you like a FRIEND. I highly recommend Hope for Families to anyone struggling with addiction, depression, or any mental illness (or if you just need someone to talk to). I honestly can’t even express what this place has done for me. But if you’re looking for open arms and someone who will genuinely care about you, book an appointment here as soon as possible. My family has been seeing various counselors at Hope for Families for over a year. They have provided direction, advice, support and education on addiction, anxiety/ocd, and parenting through some very difficult times. Without their guidance, my son wouldn’t be in rehab working on a new direction in his life. I love this group. My therapist is Campbell Manning. I'm very grateful I saw her and Amber speak at FavorGreenville. Mercy (my 11 year old daughter) sees her therapist at Hope for Families as well. Hope for Families has been a Godsend to my family. I'm eternally grateful for the counseling that Amber and Campbell provided to us during a turbulent time in our family.
