We ordered here from Postmates so this is a review about delivery service and food. See pics enclosed, we ordered some steak and pork dishes. I am sorry I forgot the names of these dishes but they were delicious! Nothing else like it. If you want an alternate to Mexican food, try Honduran food! You won't be disappointed! The dishes come with plantains, sauces, hearty servings...this place is definitely legit and would definitely come back again! The portions are huge and food delivered to us in a timely manner. I live close to here but parking is very limited.For public transportation from downtown hotels, you can take bus#151 from the transit center, bus stop H and exit near 4th and Cherry and walk a block westbound towards Honduras kitchen. Fresh tortillas, big portions. The Caribbean rice and a few baleadas makes for a pretty big meal between two people. Excellent deal on the best baleadas in town Monday-Friday you get 6+ at $1.25. The best tortilla. I really wanted to give 5-stars, but unfortunately, 4-stars because they do not have beans that are vegetarian for the baleadas. I was told by a Honduran Lyft driver that this Honduran restaurant is the absolute best in Southern California. Delicious! Husband and I had gone to the Huntington Park location a couple of weeks prior and had a subpar experience so we were hoping the Long Beach location would redeem the Honduras Kitchen name. Luckily, it did! Of course we had the baleadas. The tortillas were super soft and there was plenty of filling that was perfectly proportioned. I had the San Pedro Sula as my entree and husband had the Desayuno Hondureno. I love the combination of the sweet plantain with the savory meat filling of the San Pedro Sula. My husband's dish had a little bit of all the staples, plantains, eggs, beans, meat and all had great flavor. The waiter/manager was great. He took note of our complaints about the other location and seemed genuinely interested in improving his client's experience. Unfortunately, this location is a little out of our way so we'll give Huntington Park location another shot before taking it off our go-to list. More...
