Hometown bake shop has some delicious food! Our go-to picks are the chicken pot pie and the eggplant burrata pie. The egg sandwiches and dessert bars are also very good. This place is absolutely amazing! EVERYthing I have gotten has been fresh and delicious! The egg bombs , muffins, scones and savory pies have all been great. OMG, where has this place been all my life?Per the urging of friends, I visited the pop-up shop in Patchogue (outside of their new soon-to-be-open location) during an Alive After Five event. They were giving out samples, everything of which was DELICIOUS! I had the pleasure of buying a few things today when they were at the Rockville center farmers market and wow. I recently had scones for the first time at Starbucks and I thought I liked them but I was missing out. I had the birthday cake scone from hometown and it was amazing. Fresh and buttery not too dry as scones can be I ate the whole thing lol. We also had the cheddar chive biscuit and the egg and bacon bomb all were fresh and so flavorful. Went for the first time last weekend based on positive reviews.  I was NOT disappointed.  Had an egg sandwich on a biscuit.  Eggs were scrambled perfectly, biscuit was amazing (and humongous).  Could of used a bit more white cheddar, but not a big issue.  The scones are ridiculous, and the abundant samples at the checkout counter provide more than enough ideas for other desserts as well as lunch items.  Can't wait to go back! My Son's girlfriend lives nearby, & we came in to pick up some pastries. While there , and looking behind the glass at the offerings, I wanted to taste everything! !!Went for a french toast bomb heated up, wasn't too sweet - just right, filled with cream cheese. So yummy..and then ordered a custom sandwich - on a *biscuit* that looks like english muffins but is not! You can sit and drink coffee and while you grab a bite..my son had his usual ..the place is very comfortable & casual . . Everything was very VERY good- will have to return to explore more! . I love this place so much. My absolute favorites are the s'mores bars/pies. (They are super dense--one square lasts two of us for several days. ) I am also a huge fan of the bagel bombs. Any variety is good--I'm loving the new lobster and cracked pepper. Bacon/scallion, plain, French toast bagel bombs are also terrific. The soups are also worth checking out. The chicken soup is excellent. My absolute favorite was a fall vegetable soup with curry. The winter vegetable is almost as good. I've also had the bean/sausage, which has an interesting lemony flavor and great sausage. My husband likes the chili--unfortunately it's a little too spicy for me. I've had the butter bundt cake, which is simple but perfect. The glaze is on it is amazing and makes the bottom part of the cake soooo delicious. The fried chicken is solid. Chicken pot pie is very good. (I wish Napper Tandy's and Hometown would get together and make a chicken pot pie. Hometown's crust is absolutely perfect. The inside is good, too, but so creamy that I don't want to think about the calorie count. Napper Tandy makes a filling I like better--less creamy and a lot more chicken, but they can't get the crust right to save their lives. Put the two together, and we'd have perfection.) There was some strange herbal taste in their Thanksgiving pie that I didn't care for, and the piggy Mac & cheese pie didn't work for me, either. I prefer their muffins to their scones, and chocolate chip is my go-to muffin. Coffee cake muffin has also been good. I haven't been so excited about the lemon bars, and I actually dislike the brownies and blondies. They are terribly sweet and too dense to actually be enjoyable for me. The chocolate lava cake is also just a little too dark chocolate for me, but in this case, the sweetness level is on the lower side, which I do like. Cheesecake bars have been ok. Overall, though, this is just a terrific bakery, and I end up there at least once a week poking through what's on offer that day. They hit a lot of home runs. I would love to see them post daily specials on their website. Another bakery nearby (Copenhagen) posts their daily soups and specials, so it makes it easier for me to see when I need to make a trip. Hometown rotates most of their selections: bagel bombs, muffins, scones, pies, cakes change daily. An online schedule would be really helpful. More...

OMG the egg sandwiches are delicious! You can choose cheddar biscuit as the bread and believe me you should! I've tried some of the scones and muffins as well and everything was awesome! I thought the prices were great...used to drive quite a distance for an egg sandwich on a cheddar biscuit and not only is Hometown better but definitely more affordable.  Only discovered it a few weeks ago and have been there more times than I care to admit!
