We got married here in September and rented the estate so we could stay until 10:00pm. While it was a bit our of our budget to do so, it was completely worth it to enjoy the grounds with so much of our family each day and not just during the wedding. The groomsmen got ready down at the inn in one of the rooms (and played in the pool), and the bridal party got ready in the Red Barn- there was so much space and it was set up so perfectly that we just had the best time getting ready for the wedding and finishing DIY for the wedding. The team at Holualoa Inn were so incredibly kind and helpful. It did pour the afternoon of our wedding (not normal this time of year) but the staff was so helpful in making sure we had towels to dry stuff off, squeegees to move water around, and they constantly checked in to see if we needed assistance with anything else! They were truly so helpful and positive. The rain didnʻt impact hardly anything, the pavilion had us covered and we had 120 ppl and while it was a little cozier then expected it was honestly amazing! So many of our wedding guests told us what an amazing time they had and how beautiful the venue was. In the evening the rained cleared out and were were able to play lawn games outside. Overall, it was great and I highly recommend this venue and amazing staff to everyone! More...

From our first site visit, to our wedding weekend with the Holualoa Inn team we knew that we made the best decision ever. We were fortunate enough to spend three nights at the Inn and utilized the entire property . The rooms are all beautiful, the landscape is mesmerizing, and the views from each part of the property are stunning. The breakfasts were some of the best meals we’ve ever had - it’s worth every penny just for that signature French Toast! Each member of the Holualoa Inn family made us and our guests feel right at home with their island hospitality, while impressing our guests in the perfect setting for our wedding day! We cannot say enough wonderful things about the Inn and their team! More...

My now-husband and I got married in a small ceremony at the Holualoa Inn on Tuesday, September 10th, and stayed at the inn from Monday through Friday. The Holualoa Inn is truly the most wonderful place I have ever stayed. The staff are friendly and helpful, the grounds are fun to explore, the views are breathtaking, and the rooms are incredibly peaceful. I am super sensitive to artificial noises like machinery or buzzing electronics, and I have never felt more at ease in a hotel/inn/b&b setting. I loved sleeping with our windows open, falling asleep to the music of frogs, hearing only sounds of nature. The rooms are beautifully outfitted, and the sheets are ridiculously soft. While we were at the inn, we met a couple who returns every year to celebrate their anniversary. Although my husband and I probably cannot afford to visit so regularly, I certainly look forward to returning at some point in the future. I highly recommend staying here and/or getting married here. Couldn't have been more perfect! More...

We are currently renting the entire Inn for the week! Our wedding guests are staying here with us and yesterday was our wedding. There are not enough words or emotions to describe how amazing it is to be here amongst the grounds and the staff. We travel a lot and all over the world. It is as if Perfection was created in this very spot where nothing can go wrong. The staff work with all their heart. They nurture you. They never miss a beat. The grounds are officially our new favorite place in the world. Before staying here, The Big Island was our least favorite Island. Now, it is THE best and we'll only come back here. Our wedding was pure magic and their Pavilion and staff made it that way. It poured rain on our wedding day. But it was THE best place to be. Romance and making sure no one got wet was top priority. Thanks a million you guys. Can't wait to come back! More...

We stayed at Holualoa Inn and had our intimate (2 guests), beautiful wedding ceremony there on 3/3/19. The whole experience was wonderful, and our expectations were constantly exceeded in big and small ways. Holualoa Inn is a wonderful place for a scenic, peaceful getaway. Their breakfasts and snacks were absolutely delicious as well. My husband and I would happily and without hesitation choose Holualoa Inn as the location for our Big Island elopement again. We would also like to stay at Holualoa Inn again in the future for a rejuvenating non-wedding trip. :-) More...

Wow, wow, wow.....

The team that led the event were incredibly helpful. They provided preferred vendors to help ensure the best ceremony every. While the event coordinator wasn't able to attend the ceremony, her replacement was a joy to work with. Overall the ceremony on the grass, over looking the city below was wonderful. The Vog was a bit more prevalent that I would have liked, but the pictures turned out great. The pavilion space made for an easy transition from the ceremony to the reception. We had 36 guests overall, and the space fit great. It can accommodate larger parties. Because we opted for a DJ rather than acoustic, we did have to pay extra. Definitely worth it! More...

There are not words that do the Holualoa Inn (both the Malulani Pavilion and the Inn) justice. I was dead-set on a beach wedding until we fell in love with this location and I am so happy we found the Holualoa Inn. The views are stunning. The grounds are stunning. And the staff?

Well this is the point I really wanted to hit in my review. If you are searching for a venue in Hawaii, many of the views and grounds will take your breath away, and Holualoa competes with and beats many competitors on that front. However it is the staff at the Holualoa Inn that sets this location apart from anywhere else. Crystal and Brea (sorry if spelled incorrectly!) were the most generous, attentive, and welcoming hosts at breakfast. Joaquim (again, sorry about the spelling) made some special accommodations for us that helped us make the day even more special, and Kawika spend the morning of set-up making sure everything was perfect. We only worked with Carol once or twice but she was heartfelt, caring, and genuinely concerned about meeting our needs.

And then there is Kathryn (Kat). Kat is a superhero. She is, hands-down, one of the best professionals I have ever worked with in any capacity, wedding or otherwise. Her humor, zest for life, attention to detail, and honest passion for making your day perfect will take a LOT of stress of off your plate.

Thank you so much for everything Holualoa Inn. We will be back for an anniversary soon :)

Our expectations were surpassed by a long shot and I couldn't have imagined a more perfect place to start our married life together. Everyone at the Holualoa Inn was so kind and wanted our day to be absolutely perfect. I got ready in the Darrell Hill Cottage and had fabulous wedding pictures taken there. My husband and I spent our wedding night there and it was the perfect place to enjoy with my husband. The cottage is absolutely adorable! Absolutely beautiful venue. This kind of classy timeless property is the perfect place for a wedding. The green and pavilion have an amazing view, perfect for sunset photos after a wedding and the Inn itself is perfect for the night after the wedding.

If you are going to rent the venue I *DEFINITELY* recommend renting the entire Inn. We had our families stay there and it's like having a hotel to yourself. Perfect. The only downside is that only people staying at the Inn can go down there from the venue (I think they are worried about damage from parties) so keep that in mind when planning for after the reception (though they let our bridal party come down for photos before the ceremony)

Really can not say enough about this venue. Going from the hot tub, to the pool, to the fireplace on a chilly Holualoa evening is the most relaxing thing you can imagine. Then a quick snooze and wake up to fresh, hot, Kona coffee.

My husband and I were married at The Holualoa Inn on November 1, 2012. When my husband and I decided that we just wanted the ceremony to be about the two of us and we would celebrate with family when we returned - I knew we had made the right decision from the moment I had spoken to Kat. Before we left, I had my dress shipped to the Inn and they made sure it was steamed and hanging in our closet upon arrival. When we arrived late, the staff had thought of everything ... it was perfect. They had fresh pastries waiting for us in our room due to the late arrival, there was romantic Hawaiian music playing in the room, and flower petals were on the bed. The next day we looked at the grounds and decided on the location for our ceremony. It was absolute paradise! We've been married almost 8 months and not a week goes by that we don't mention the Holualoa Inn. We're so happy we chose to have our wedding here, I can't say enough good things about the staff and this location. The Holualoa Inn gave us memories that we will cherish for the rest of our lives and the most beautiful landscape for our wedding. More...
