I'm always looking for a great BBQ place no matter where I go. This place is pure deliciousness! I loved all the BBQ sauces! The brisket melts in your mouth and is almost a shame masking it's flavor with any kind of sauce, so I ate half without any sauce so I could savor the smokey flavor. This is probably some of the best barbecue I've had in a long time. The smoke flavor and seasoning of the meats are excellent. I like the baked beans the mac and cheese and potato salad but it didn't really care for coleslaw. We ordered a baby back ribs plate with 4 sides and the bill was $28.00. This is good BBQ. We tried the pulled chicken, pulled pork & turkey. It has a nice smoke & the right amount of seasoning. The sweet potatoes fries are just the right crispy texture & well seasoned . They have 4 choices of BBQ sauce (Sweet, Whiskey, Regular & Spicy). Sweet & Whiskey are fabulous! The dining room has fairly limited seating, but there's also a small outdoor patio. Ok, so I needed to get away from the local tourist food joints and their bad reviews while I'm here for two days on the gulf highlands with my wife for a possibly once in a lifetime vacation to the gulf coast. My wife and I found Hog Wild BBQ. Rarely have I ever found a place where I left so satisfied with the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the employees. I am truly mourning that I may never get back down here again to enjoy this restaurant again. I went on 8/27/19 at 6 pm. The young lady taking our order was friendly and helpful. The gentleman who took our empty plates was great to talk to and truly seemed appreciative of our complements. If I could give ten stars out if five I would. I stopped here for dinner on my last night in Gulf Shores before returning to Indiana this week and I'll be back! I ordered the pulled pork platter with southern green beans and fries. Wow, the food was amazing! You get your money's worth and then some. I loved the smoke on the pulled pork, the green beans had great flavor, and the fries were good. Have been twice and have had just about everything on the menu. AMAZING! Everything! Down to the green beans and sauces. Brisket, wings, and sausage are to die for.
