Hobees food is inventive. They have things other coffee shop style restaurants wouldn't think of. That being said the only reason I can't give them 5 stars is because I would like to see them making the portion size at least a 1/4 bigger. The staff is pleasant. The wait is short if any at all. Open for breakfast and lunch daily, at the crossroads of Central Expressway and Rengstorff Avenue in Mountain View. It's a very comfortable environment, optional outdoor seating, with prompt friendly service, and very good food, moderately priced, with some organic selections.

Great food, served in generous portions with welcoming service. Free parking lot. I've only been here for early weekday breakfasts so it's not as crowded. Wide variety for breakfast and lunch. Many entrees come with their signature coffee cake. Watch for seasonal specials. This place also is good for casual and business gatherings. Great for family's  too. They donate to local schools so I like to support them by coming to eat here. More...

I have been to Hobees twice in the last three weeks to catch up with some friends over brunch and I had a wonderful experience both times I went! One of the things that I enjoy the most about this place is that they have a wide range of vegetarian options. Most brunch menus I've encountered only offer sweet breakfast items for veggie lovers, but being a savory girl, I appreciate Hobbee's selection! I opted to have the De Anza Browns both times I was here and was not disappointed.The food is great but the staff makes this place amazing. A friend turned me on to this place a few years ago, yummo, love the large selection on choices and how about that coffee cake. The portions are way too large to eat in one sitting, need to take home leftovers for sure. They have a special around the holidays, buy one full tin or coffee cake and get one free, can't pass that up. The leftovers I brought home and  of course a full tin of coffee cake was devoured by my family, yep, they liked it very much. Now when my friend and I go to our annual Christmas Boutique in Belmont, we hop over the freeway to Hobbee's for a quick bite and of course, coffee cake. One thing I want to try next year is the salad bar, they have a very large selection of choices to add to your salad and you can order it as one trip or all you can eat...........Thank you for the nice service and great food. Omg, never knew that this place is so good! It's a hidden gem. It's been here forever but we never tried it until now. My husband has been here before and was telling that it has always been his favorite but for some reason we never went there as a family. So glad we finally did and there is no looking elsewhere for breakfast anymore! The food was super tasty and very well presented. Our waiter was super experienced and he was too good! I just wish that they had better tasting coffee though! That said, we will be a regular from now on! More...

The most interesting, unique, and satisfying breakfast-food chain I know of. Yes, you can eat lunch here (I've never eaten dinner at a Hobee's), but the best part of the menu are the breakfast items. Their signature dishes are their "scrambles"--mixing ordinary and exotic combinations of ingredients into scrambled eggs. Pro Tip: any of the many omelets also in the menu can be ordered as a "scramble."Their ENORMOUS coffee cake is as famous as their orange-cinnamon tea (best taken hot, but they also offer it iced). We enjoyed a quiet and peaceful Sunday dinner at this Hobee's location. The service was excellent & fast. The employees are friendly and focused. The price is unbeatable. The music was pleasant and unlike many restaurants that are trying too hard to be modern, the music wasn't too loud. We would come back to this location!My whole wheat tortilla was toasted to perfection. The hot chocolate was delicious. It's worth noting that the black bean chili is better than most of the options at the De Anza cafeteria. As usual, we took leftovers home. The vintage wood decor brings you back to a simpler time when the Bay Area was smaller, less expensive, and much less stressful. The leaded style window panes are a fun touch! The Women's bathroom could use higher quality (more expensive) soap dispensers and facet fixtures, but it functions well. It's true, the tables could use sanding, re-staining, and re-varnishing. It's not very hard to do, but restaurants tend to have a low profit margin and Hobee's would have to be closed for a couple days or have temporary tables and pay to get all their tables re-done. Surprised I haven't written about Hobee's sooner.  My family and I come here weekly.  I love the choritzo scramble.  Their hash browns are great too.  The Hobee's house tea is out of this world along with their various coffee cakes.  The service people have all been there a long time and all are fantastic and very amiable.Love this place.
