Historic 1625 has it all. One of the major reasons we selected them was because of the beautiful brick interior. It gave the rustic feel we were looking for. Another reason we went with Historic 1625 was the abundance of parking. In Tacoma parking, especially free parking, is hard to come by. Kellie was really amazing to work with. The venue has its charm inside with the expose beams and bricks. Plenty of parking spaces. The only concern is the sidewalk being so close to the main road where cars drive really fast and the side walk is almost level to the street (not safe). They should really consider having red carpet posts or barrier during event day. Beautiful venue! I love the historic charm of the vintage brick walls. Also really loved how beautifully they have up-lit all the antique beams in the ceiling. Very dramatic! It’s wonderful that the wedding ceremony can be in one room, and meanwhile the reception is set up in the other adjoining space. I was beyond pleased with my experience at Historic Place. Everyone I encountered were professional but polite and open to my ideas. They also gave great feedback to my suggestions and were there to listen to what how we wanted our wedding to go. Kelli was amazing to me and my husband and made us feel comfortable. Historic was amazing with not only our wedding day but all the work leading up to it. They were always there to answer questions and made sure our big day went flawlessly. Fantastic venue. It has an old world feel. Used to be a car dealership back in the day. Love the open space and the fact that much of the old building was salvaged during its restoration. The staff is very accommodating and helpful especially the assistant manager Kellie Blair who helped arranged the venue for a Microsoft Military Affairs MSTA graduation event. It went off without a hitch. The catering and the AV were handled very well by the venue. If you are thinking of having an event like a graduation party or wedding, you need to include this on your list of prospective sites. There is an adequate sized parking lot next door specifically for them. The front door can be deceiving to locate since it is mirrored so you can't see inside. BTW, if you like old cars, you need to check out the storage garage with a number of collectible cars which can be viewed from outside the building or from the "grooms" room upstairs. I was here for a wedding (not my own) so I spent an evening in the space eating food, drinking, and dancing. It was a good time, I love the exposed wood on the ceiling and the brick walls of the space, as well as the vintage cars. The associated parking garage across the street is very nice. The neighborhood itself isn't the best, but wasn't too bad and I had no concerns at all walking to my car after the event was over around 11pm. More...

Historic 1625 was absolutely the perfect venue for our wedding. I don't remember how I found it, but I'm so glad that I did! It had such beautiful character that I didn't have to decorate much at all. The space is perfect to house a ceremony and reception in the same location. We had our ceremony in one room, reception in the other. The chairs got moved out of the ceremony room and into the reception room. The ceremony room then got turned into the dance floor. It was great because the bar was also in that room and gave guests a place to mingle while the chairs were being moved. I had the pleasure of working with multiple staff at Historic 1625. The owner, Kristen Wynne, was our first point of contact when setting up our original tour. I was pretty sold before even going on the tour that that's where I wanted to get married. But going on the tour just confirmed that this place was the perfect package. We were able to book our date about a year and a half in advance and were able to lock in 2014 pricing by securing our date with a deposit within 30 days of going on our tour. I was able to tour the venue multiple times before the wedding, to show family, friends, and the photographer the venue. Taylor Voight, a previous employee, helped schedule this tour, was there for the tour, and helped me with early on invoicing. Kellie Blair was a tremendous help. She helped us schedule a brief appointment to talk through the layout. Cora Young, assisted us in finalizing our layout as we were able to stop in to confirm the layout and it worked out that there was an event already setup that was going to be similar in size. It really helped to visualize the space as opposed to trying to get an idea from a piece of paper. Kellie helped guide us through our rehearsal and was our day-of coordinator from Historic 1625. She went above and beyond the call of duty, from helping us setup to take down. Without her I don't know if it would have gone so smooth! Thank you! More...

Our wedding day couldn’t have gone any more smoothly and a large part of that had to do with Historic 1625 and their incredible staff! Kelly was such a joy to work with the entire year leading up to our wedding – she was extremely helpful and made wedding planning easy (never thought I would say that!) The venue speaks for itself – the exposed brick and high beams (plus fantastic car museum!) was everything we wanted. We continue to get countless compliments from our guests on Historic.
